STEWARDS: J Childs, L Carvosso, W Booshand, C Waller, D Wann

Weather: Fine Track: Fast Rail: 3 Meters

RACE: 1. Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer G Fythe why the rider for Thief Of Time was not declared by the required time. Jockey J Warrington (Double Onic) replaced P Gesler who failed to arrive on course. P Gesler will be interviewed at a later date in relation to failing to fulfill her engagement. T. V. Star was slowly away. Miss Gracie and All The Buzz made contact shortly after the start. Near the 400 meters Digress made contact with the running rail when tightened for room by Thief Of Time which was hanging in and continued to hang in for the remainder of the race. After making contact with the running rail Digress then got its head up and raced ungenerously for some distance. Roving Fortune and Double Onic were forced wider on the track by Rocket Be Good, which shifted out abruptly to avoid the incident. Roving Fortune laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Miss Gracie returned to scale lame in the near fore. Trainer D Sutton was advised that a Veterinary Certificate was required for the filly prior to next start. Time off 3.56 pm.

RACE: 2. Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer J Atkins why the rider of Penny Drops was not declared by the required time. Moringa's Monarch was very slowly away. At the start Cultured Pearl and Heart Of Light were hampered by Alessi, which was taken out by Pedro's Star. Near the 550 meters Bletchmore shifted in and made contact with the running rail. Cultured Pearl laid in over the concluding stages. Approaching the finish Bletchmore was crowded for room by Camaleis. Lucernedale which failed to complete the course sustained an injury to the off fore tendon. Trainer A Sutton was advised a Veterinary Certificate was required for the gelding prior to his next start. Time off 4.34 pm.

RACE: 3. Ernest Hope was slowly away. Shortly after Ernest Hope was steadied when crowded for room. Leaving the 500 meters Opera Lance was momentarily held up for clear running. Arcot, which hung out throughout made the home turn very wide. Trainer B Strong was advised that Arcot was required to Barrier Trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to start again. Stewards declared correct weight in terms of AR142 when D Gay (Arcot) was unable to weigh in after being dislodged at the pull up. D Gay was subsequently cleared to fulfill his remaining engagements. Time off 5.10 pm.

RACE: 4. At the start Noble Knave and Appealing Lady made contact. Approaching the1300 meters Noble Knave clipped the heels of Tom Thumb and blundered. At a subsequent inquiry it was established that Tom Thumb (D Griffin) shifted out marginally and Star Gambler (C Spry) which was racing ungenerously with its head in the air took in Noble Knave (G Geran). Stewards took no action against any rider due to the contributing factors. Classic Frontier raced wide throughout. Near the 250 meters City Mission and Classic Frontier brushed. Time off 5.45 pm.

RACE: 5. Woambra was slowly away. Desert Action jumped in the air losing ground. Leaving the 800 meters Concert Master was steadied when crowded for room by Hail Rocket. Approaching the 700 meters Goquillo and Birdwatcher were racing in restricted room to the inside of Weeribee (D Gay), brought to attention of D Gay. Leaving the 800 meters Roving Minstrel, which was pulling hard, was eased from heels for some distance. Leaving the 500 meters Desert Action had trouble obtaining clear running for some distance. Time off 6.20 pm.

RACE: 6. Jockey A Parramore (Herbie Dancer) replaced G Lynch whom was indisposed. C Spry (Beau Fils) who was dislodged behind the barriers sustained no injuries. J Warrington (Buglers) struck his right foot on the gate as his mount jumped. Brandy Success jumped in and made contact with the hindquarters of Yaroomba Jack. Von Gala was slowly away. Approaching 750 meters Hamble struck the heels of Yaroomba Jack and blundered. Von Gala which was following shifted in and crowded Mighty Creation whilst being eased from the heels of Hamble. Both Hamble and Yaroomba Jack raced ungenerously whilst over - racing in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 100 meters Tonten shifted in and made contact with Dance Babe. Buglers raced greenly throughout. The breastplate on No Saint broke during running. Time off 6.56 pm.

RACE: 7. Pedro's Power was withdrawn on Veterinary advice at 9.50am. Aklah was slowly away. At the start Miracle Jones was taken across the running of Peroxide which jumped awkwardly, by Starry Avalanche. Peroxide was inclined to race ungenerously in the middle stages. Leaving the 400 meters Romarni's Reward was tightened for room by Starry Avalanche, which rolled in whilst tiring. Near the 100 meters Miracle Jones was steadied from the heels of Nortram, which shifted in over the concluding stages. Time off 7.37 pm.

All winners were swabbed.
