RACE 1: HUNT & HUNT LAWYERS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1869M.
AGITATOR, which over – raced in the early and middle stages, hung out on the turn out of the straight forcing SPEEDITO and ASCOT BLUE wider on the track.
Near the 1500m MIGHTY PHUN was eased when crowded for room by AGITATOR, which was taken in by MARS’ LUCK.
SPEEDITO raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Leaving the 800m ASCOT BLUE and SPEEDITO made contact.
Near the 700m TRINEWAL was steadied when momentarily crowded for room by ASCOT BLUE.
Near the 550m SKYES OF LOVE was crowded for room between JOANNA’S SCENT and CAN’T REMEMBER.
MIGHTY PHUN hung in throughout.

RACE 2: BARCLAY MOWLEM MAIDEN H'CAP – 1310M.
C Spry (RODWAY LANE) replaced C Bryen who was unable to claim his allowance. C Bryen was fined the sum of $100.
MISTER BOOLA, which ducked in shortly after the start, raced greenly throughout.
Near the 850m CHAMPAGNE IVY was eased from the heels of CHIEFTESS as the pace slowed.
Near the 550m MICK OR MICHAEL was forced wider on the track by RODWAY LANE, which shifted out.
CHAMPAGNE IVY raced in restricted room to the inside of MAGIC HAT over the concluding stages.
When questioned about the improved performance of BARHILL, stable representative P Overell stated that after the mare’s disappointing performance at her previous start, he had considered selling the mare and the only reason he could give for today’s performance, is she may prefer a track that has been affected by rain, explanation noted.

RACE 3: TOOWONG PRIVATE HOSPITAL FILLIES & MARES CLASS 2 H'CAP - 1310M.
FLUENT ROAD and BOX BROWNIE made contact on jumping.
J Warrington (BOX BROWNIE) was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in leaving the 1100m when insufficiently clear of DANCING SOUND, resulting in that horse having to be eased.
DANCING SOUND was held up for clear running from leaving the 400m to the early stages of the home straight.
When questioned about the disappointing performance of STELLAR SPECTRA, apprentice H Akiyama said the only excuse he could give was that his mount hung out from the 800m, which prevented him from improving his position in the middle stages, explanation noted. A subsequent veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormality.

RACE 4: MINTER ELLISON QTIS 3-Y-O CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1615M.
The start was delayed by VIVENDI, which had to be re – plated, after it pulled its near hind plate off when placed in the barriers.
WHISKEY ON ICE jumped out and across the running of MARGARET MADALINE, which was slowly away.
NEED T’SEE lost considerable ground when it was reluctant to jump away with the field. Trainer S Smith was advised that a warning was being placed on the gelding.
Approaching the 250m VIVENDI was momentarily held up for clear running.
When questioned why their mounts got so far in front in the early and middle stages, J Stanley (WHISKEY ON ICE) stated that he intended to ride his mount in behind MUSTANG MAGIC, but going to the first turn he had to come out from behind MUSTANG MAGIC as his mount was pulling hard and from that point his mount refused to settle. T Ono stated his mount was always travelling well even though they were so far in front, explanations noted.

RACE 5: PROVINCIAL DISTRIBUTORS CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1009M.
T Ono (STRATHNAVER) replaced C Bryen who was unable to make the weight.
At the start AUNTY TOBYS and SIT HERE DEAR were hampered between PISANI BAY and BIG STEVE, which jumped in.
Approaching the 800m AUNTY TOBYS got its head up when being eased from the heels of PISANI BAY, which was eased from heels.
Approaching the 800m SIT HERE DEAR got its head up whilst being eased from heels.
AWESOME NIGHT shifted in over the concluding stages.
T Ono (STRATHNAVER) was found guilty of a careless riding charge, the careless riding being that near the 350m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of PISANI BAY, resulting in that horse being checked. T Ono was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 meetings to take affect as of mid – night 30-11-02 and to expire at mid – night 10-12-02.

RACE 6: TRESS COCKS & MADDOX CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1110M.
KISS AN ANGEL, which had blood in one nostril whilst being saddled was withdrawn on veterinary advice at 6.48 pm. Deductions on all win bets were paid less 12 cents in the $1 win and 11 cents in the $1 place.
At the start WARWICK DANCER was hampered between TAT’S RAKU, which jumped out and AMBER TRAIL, which jumped in.
Approaching the 800m MOOKTA MAN was steadied from the heels of BLITZ, which shifted in.
Approaching the 400m WARWICK DANCER and AMBER TRAIL were forced wider on the track by BORDEAUX HOPPER, which shifted out to obtain clear running.
Time off 7.12 pm.
RACE 7: HEALTHY LIFESTYLES PROMOTION MAIDEN H'CAP – 1210M.
At the start SNOWBLAST and OUR KAWLIJA were hampered between NOBLE DELL, which jumped out and THY KINGDOM COME, which jumped in.
Near the 600m UNDER YOUR SPELL shifted in making contact with the running rail.
Near the 400m KENIGHAN shifted in making contact with the running rail.
Leaving the 400m UNDER YOUR SPELL was held up for clear running.
L Morrison (BASKET) was unable to fully test her mount in the home straight due to her mount hanging in once placed under pressure, making contact with the running rail approaching the 200m.
Time off 7.50 pm.
