RACE 1: YOUNG & LAND CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1610M.
Trainer M Brosnan was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for MR INSURANCE by the required time.
At the start TONTEN was hampered between DANZINA, which jumped out and FIERY ASPECT, which jumped awkwardly.
SAGIT HERO was slowly away.
Near the 250m TONTEN shifted out and brushed FIERY ASPECT.
DANZINA, which bled during running, was stood down from racing for a period of 3 months.
Time off 4.03 pm.
RACE 2: MICHAELS ELECTRONICS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1106M.
EYES FOREVER was slowly away.
BENNY’S INN jumped awkwardly.
UNCANNY PLEASURE and BATTENBERG raced tight in the early stages.
Near the 850m BATTENBERG was steadied when UNCANNY PLEASURE shifted in.
Near the 800m ROYAL CARTOOSH was steadied when UNCANNY PLEASURE shifted in.
Near the 550m TOP BOLT was steadied when it improved to the inside of the heels of ROYAL CARTOOSH where there was suspect room.
Leaving the 500m EYES FOREVER was steadied from the heels of GUS’S BEAUTY, which rolled in.
Time off 4.43 pm.
RACE 3: BORNEO BARRACKS GOLF CLUB CLASS 4 H'CAP - 1006M.
Trainer T Dougall was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for MIAMI DRIVE by the required time.
RESTORATION jumped in at the start making contact with HIGH REWARDS.
LITTLE KARIOI and KITCHIKAN were slowly away.
Near the 850m LITTLE KARIOI was tightened for room by HIGH REWARDS, which was taken in by RESTORATION, which was lying in, resulting in LITTLE KARIOI being checked and losing ground.
NEAR THE 350M KITCHIKAN made contact with the running rail when taken in by PEDRO AND LES, which shifted in and away from COUNT JESTER, which rolled in marginally.
MIAMI DRIVE was held up for clear running over the last 400m.
Time off 5.21 pm.
RACE 4: WESTCO FILLIES & MARES CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1207M.
A Erhart (MISS ZANARDI) replaced G Michaels who was indisposed after riding at another venue.
ELUSIVE DIAMOND was slowly away.
ULTRA SWING jumped awkwardly.
At the start ELUSIVE DIAMOND was taken across the heels of GREAT EXPECTATIONS by AUSSIE FLYER, which jumped out.
ANAHEART jumped out making contact with WARWICK DANCER.
Near the 800m KYUGA JUGAH was steadied when crowded for room by MONACO MISS, which was taken in by GREAT EXPECTATIONS.
Approaching the 250m AUSSIE FLYER was eased and obliged to shift out to obtain clear running when GREAT EXPECTATIONS shifted in under pressure.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS continued to shift in hampering HARVEY ROAD.
Time off 5.55 pm.
RACE 5: JOE SHEEHAN MEMORIAL H'CAP – 1207M.
Trainer M Craven was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for GUIDANCE by the required time.
MOTH BALL jumped with its head in the air losing considerable ground.
MR KABARLA jumped in the air as the gates opened.
KEEP THE ACE and HELLIE MISSED made contact on jumping.
Leaving the 900m FIRES OF IRELAND, which shifted out whilst being eased from the heels of IRON ORE, made contact with GUIDANCE.
Near the 550m ACE OF FRANCE and IRON ORE both rolled in making contact with the running rail.
KEEP THE ACE hung out rounding the home turn.
Near the 250m IRON ORE was disappointed for clear running.
Time off 6.37 pm.
RACE 6: QTIS 2-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP – 1207M.
STRICTLY DRY jumped in as the gates opened.
Approaching the 800m SPECIAL LAD and STRICTLY DRY were steadied when FLINDERS FLYER shifted out.
FLINDERS FLYER then laid out for the remainder of the race.
GEMTIME hung out rounding the home turn.
A veterinary examination of GEMTIME on returning to scale revealed that the filly had pulled up in a very distressed state. Trainer S Dwyer was advised that a veterinary clearance is required for the filly prior to its next start.
Time off 7.12 pm.
RACE 7: PACIFIC SEEDS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1307M.
HOT CHILLY FILLY and KING FRIENDLY were slowly away.
Approaching the 800m DONNABELLE got its head up whilst being eased when momentarily crowded for room by KNOW MAS, which rolled in.
Approaching the 700m PRINCE OF CENTRES blundered.
Near the 550m MILLSTRIKE was steadied from the heels of DONNABELLE, which lost ground when tightened for room by HOT CHILLI FILLY, which was compounding.
Leaving the 450m DONNABELLE was racing in restricted room to the inside of HOT CHILLI FILLY.
Near the 350m KING FRIENDLY was eased when crowded for room by HOT CHILLI FILLY.
GRAN CABALLO hung out whilst racing ungenerously throughout.
A veterinary examination of HOT CHILLI FILLY, which compounded badly revealed that the filly was lame in the off fore. Trainer C Brown was advised that a veterinary clearance is required for the filly prior to its next start.
Time 7.50 pm.
ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
