RACE 1: RED SUN QTIS 3-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP – 1018M.
Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer R Hawkswell why the rider for PICAFLIGHT did not appear in the racebook.
LION’S IMAGE was withdrawn at 9.25 am. Trainer D Gollan was fined the sum of $100 for failing to withdraw LION’S IMAGE by the required time.
In the racebook C Spry was shown as the rider for SARAH ELIZABETH instead of P Spry.
TENGU lost ground when it jumped away awkwardly.
OODLES ‘N’ OODLES jumped away awkwardly.
At the start WRONG DANE and SARAH ELIZABETH were crowded for room between BUDDY SEQUALO and MR HORNBLOWER, which jumped in.
DANISH BEAUTY, which jumped away awkwardly, hung out from the 800m.
MR HORNBLOWER hung in over the concluding stages.
SARAH ELIZABETH raced greenly throughout.
J Warrington (PICAFLIGHT) was reprimanded for failing to weigh in 5th

RACE 2: DALE & NATALIE TAYLOR CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1126M.
Trainer J Teichmann was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for MAN SERVANT by the required time.
MAN SERVANT, which broke through the front of the barriers, was restrained after going a short distance. A subsequent Veterinary examination of MAN SERVANT cleared the gelding to take its place in the field.
MAN SERVANT jumped in the air as the gates opened.
WINDAMINGLE jumped away awkwardly.
At the start MONEY WALKS and BIRUBI CHOSEN were tightened for room between JOEKEN and COURT ADJOURNED, which jumped out.
Leaving the 800m MONEY WALKS made contact with the running rail whilst being eased from the heels of WINGDAMINGLE.
COURT ADJOURNED shifted in over the concluding stages.

RACE 3: QRSE DARLINGTON STUD CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1226M.
ECHO LAD was slowly away.
Approaching the 800m GOOD LUCK and TROPIQUALO was crowded for room by NORTHERN GAME.
Leaving the 800m THE GABBA was steadied when crowded for room by JEROMIE’S STAR, which shifted in. JEROMIE’S STAR then shifted out abruptly to relieve the pressure, which resulted in MILLIMAC having to be eased from the heels of JEROMIE’S STAR.
EBONY SMILE hung out and away from HOUSE OF WOODWIND rounding the home turn.
Near the 200m MILLIMAC was eased when tightened for room between BROCKWAY and HOUSE OF WOODWIND (G Geran), which shifted in. G Geran was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.
Approaching the 100m ECHO LAD (J Pujolas), which shifted out to obtain clear running, blundered when it clipped the heels of MILLIMAC (J Sharp), which shifted in under pressure. Stewards were of the opinion that both riders had contributed to the incident by shifting ground.
T Ono (ANABASCA) was reprimanded for failing to weigh in 5th.
Time off 5.02 PM.
RACE 4: OAKEY VETERINARY HOSPITAL H'CAP – 1326M.
Shortly after the start NATIONAL BID and SILVERTHORNE made contact.
ROYAL CONSPIRACY raced in restricted room from near the 850m until approaching the 700m.
Leaving the 400m COSTA AZZURRA and TOP PLUME were tightened for room by THY KINGDOM COME (N Tomizawa), which shifted in. N Tomizawa was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.
Approaching the 50m TALBINGO LAD shifted in under pressure.
SILVERTHORNE raced wide throughout.
Jockey N Tomizawa (THY KINGDOM COME) pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge in that near the 850m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of COSTA AZURRA, resulting in that horse being taken in and onto ROYAL CONSPIRACY, which was checked and struck the fence. N Tomizawa was suspended from riding in races for a period of 8 meetings to take affect as of mid – night 21-08-04 and to expire at mid – night 2-09-04.

RACE 5: QRSE ALMA VALE FARMS CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1640M.
Trainer L Birchley was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for CANNY CRUISE by the required time.
P Spry (RESERVE RAIDER) replaced R Morris who was unable to make the required weight. R Morris was subsequently reprimanded. When imposing the penalty Stewards took into account the good record of R Morris.
L Roberts (KING’S CONCERT) replaced A Lane who failed to fulfil his engagement due to his commitment at the Doomben meeting. A Lane will be spoken to at a later date.
Shortly after the start CANNY CRUISE and RESERVE RAIDER made heavy contact.
On the point of the home turn DREAM OF YOU shifted out taking SAMSUN out, which came into contact with the hindquarters of ALL HALO
BETTER LIGHT raced wide in the early and middle stages.

RACE 6: FAIRVIEW STUD GREENMOUNT FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN H'CAP – 1326M.
MISS PERIWINKLE was slowly away.
Near the 1200m GIRL CHEVAL and SHE NEVER YIELDS were crowded for room by HOO HOOKS, which was taken in by SHE’S ASTUTE.
FLEETING STAR raced ungenerously in the early stages.
Near the 750m SHE NEVER YIELDS was crowded for room by MISS PERIWINKLE, which shifted in.
Leaving the 200m SHE’S ASTUTE shifted in under pressure.
When questioned about the improved performance of FUHRMILON, Trainer T Catip stated, on the way the mare works he thought she could win at her previous three starts. Mr Catip also stated that he can only put the improved performance down to, the mare has run up to the way she has been working, explanation noted.

RACE 7: GREENVALE PARK STUD ENTIRES & GELDINGS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1326M.
Trainer P Facoory was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for DOUBLE DECKER by the required time.
SOVEREIGN HUNTER and WHAT A BROWNIE were slowly away.
SEAL SOOFFLE pulled hard in the early stages.
Approaching the 950m DUSTY BALL was racing ungenerously.
WHAT A BROWNIE, which raced ungenerously from leaving the 1000m, shifted in near the 850m crowding the running of PRINCE LOTTO and GREAT MARC.
Approaching the 450m DUSTY BALL was forced wider on the track by GREAT MARC, which shifted out to improve.
FAIR MONARCH, which shifted in from the 150m, came into contact with FLEECED near the 50m.
Time off 7.37 PM.
