SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Stewards completed an inquiry into a fall at Toowoomba Turf Club meeting on the 5 February 2005 when Jockey A Erhart was dislodged from MISTER MUSTANG during the running of Race 1 the QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap of 1009m. After taking evidence from A Erhart it was found that whilst leading the saddle had slipped to the near side approaching the 800m dislodging A Erhart into the path of the following runners. An inspection on the day in question found the gear to be in good order. Stewards took no further action.
Stewards completed an inquiry into a fall at Toowoomba Turf Club meeting on the 26 February 2005 when Jockey J Sharp was dislodged from COOLIBAH KID during the running of Race 7 the Class 1 Handicap 1326m. After taking evidence from J Sharp it was found that his mount began to buck shortly after the start dislodging J Sharp. Stewards took no further action.
RACE 1: QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1216M.
MOONDUST MAGIC slowly away.
HAIGHT ASHBURY jumped awkwardly and out coming into contact with ROCK THE DAWN.
Approaching the 1000m ATTACKENGO steadied from the heels of MISTER MUSTANG.

RACE 2: QRSE CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1625M.
Jockey H. Hamada reported ill replaced by B. Dieckmann, who was unable to make the required weight, replaced by J. Sharp (FOREIGN TITLE).
MISS ROYALE jumped out at the start and FOREIGN TITLE jumped in causing tightening to HABITUAL DANCER.
ANCIENT KING (T. Ono) jumped on terms, commenced to buck approaching the 1400m and continued to do so until nearing the 1300m where T. Ono was dislodged. Connections of ANCIENT KNIGHT advised the gelding to barrier trial to satisfaction of the Stewards prior to next racing.
Jockey R. Goltz (RULES FOR LIFE) was issued with a warning and advised to exercise more care as his mount rolled in approaching the 150m crowing the running of ADVANTAGE PLUS and FOREIGN TITLE, which was also racing greenly.
Trainer M. Flanigan was questioned as to the improved performance of winner LIAMA LIP. Tnr Flanigan stated that he had changed the gelding’s training routine and felt that the 1900m of his last start was too far. Tnr Flanigan also felt the horse had a chance as his trackwork had improved since his last start. Explanation noted.

RACE 3: NATIONAL JOCKEY CELEBRATION DAY CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1316M.
Apprentice C. Pay unable to fulfil engagement due to transport problems, replaced by K. Banks (CENTATEL).
FLEECED forced to race three wide throughout.
Rounding the home turn GOOD BRANDY was held up for clear running, shifting out making contact with CENTATEL nearing the 350m.
Time off 5.16 PM.
RACE 4: QRSE ST. THOMAS MORE’S SCHOOL CLASS 6 HANDICAP –1216M.
Jockey H. Hamada reported ill replaced by M. Sano (ALTAO).
Jockey S. Drake failed to arrive after riding at another venue replaced by T. Ono (AVON WALTZ).
Rounding the 750m turn CRAFTY KING hung out causing inconvenience to COSTA AZZURA which had to be steadied. CRAFTY KING continued to hang out to rounding the home turn.
FOREVER SNIPPED broke down in both fore legs approaching the home turn, retired from the race.

RACE 5: GOWRIE ROAD HOTEL SPORTING CLUB TOOWOOMBA CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 1015M.
MADAM KRUGER slowly away.
ONEDIN LINE jumped out as the gates opened.
ANABASCA jumped awkwardly.
Time off 6.30 PM.
RACE 6: QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1015M.
ISIS QUEEN jumped awkwardly and out coming into contact with SPECTACULAR PIC.
LION’S IMAGE jumped out at the start and at the same time BAG UP jumped in causing tightening to TUSCAN JAZZ, which lost ground.
Jockey N. Evans (BAG UP) was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in approaching the 800m causing LION’S IMAGE to shift in and tighten SQWATCH which in turn caused SPECIAL ECLIPSE to check. Jockey K. Banks (LION’S IMAGE) was reprimanded for not relieving the pressure to SQWATCH and SPECIAL ECLIPSE when BAG UP shifted out.
Time off 7.07 PM.
RACE 7: LISA FRANCIS MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE – 1216M.
Jockey H. Hamada reported ill replaced by E. Dredge (RUSHWOOD).
Jockey S. Apthorpe injured in a race fall at Dalby and stood down from riding for remainder of day, replaced by M. Dorrington (MISS BOONARA).
CHARWONGA dwelt, lost ground.
Approaching the 900m NOTABLE VICTORY eased from the heels of VIKING TREASURE.
Jockey P. Spry (TACTICAL STAR) reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift out approaching the 350m coming into contact with NOTABLE VICTORY which in turn shifted out causing inconvenience to RUSHWOOD.
Time off 7.45 PM.
