SUPPLMENTARY REPORTS
5/7/07: Stewards today held an inquiry into the results of the analysis of a swab sample provided by Jockey T Banks at Toowoomba on May 29 2007. T Banks pleaded guilty to a charge under AR81(A)(1)(a) in that the sample taken was found to contain the prohibited Anorectic Phentermine. Jockey T Banks’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of three calendar months to commence midnight 18/6/07 and to conclude midnight 18/9/07. Jockey T Banks’ was further fined the sum of $500 and advised that he must provide a clear urine sample to stewards prior to riding trackwork.

MISS CANUNGRA (M. Hackett) began awkwardly and shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of THE DEVIL ROCKS (M. Price) which became unbalanced.
CHIEF INSPECTOR (A. Taylor) which was slow to begin, raced wide throughout.
DANE PRINCE (J. Sharp) blundered on jumping away.
Shortly after the start THE DEVIL ROCKS and SANTIERA (N. Tomizawa) made contact.
Near the 1200m SOPHIE’S TAN (C. Pye) was steadied when tightened for room between AUSSIE ENCHANTEE (B. Calkin) and THE DEVIL ROCKS (M. Price) which shifted out.
Near the 900m AUSSIE ENCHANTEE shifted in slightly which resulted in MISS CANUNGRA having to be steadied and then shifted out forcing AUSSIE ENCHANTEE wider on the track.
AUSSIE ENCHANTEE raced wide from the 800m.
From the 500m until leaving the 250m MAJOR PIERCING (R. Goltz) was held up for clear running.
RACE 2: TOOWOOMBA PRIVATE EMERGENCY GROUP QTIS 3-Y-0 CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1126M.

Trainer R Maund was fined the sum of $100 for failing to declare the rider for APRIL AFFAIR by the prescribed time.
LEPRECHAUN LASS (R. Kerwin) was slow to begin.
Approaching the 550m PACIFIC BELLE (A. Taylor) which hung in throughout and made contact with the running rail on a number of occasions, was eased from the heels of FOREVER AUTUMN (M. Hackett) which shifted in. (M.Hackett) was advised to exercise more care when his mount is shifting ground.
Leaving the 400m PACIFIC BELLE, made heavy contact with the running rail when tightened for room by DEVASYN (M. Price) which was taken in momentarily by the tiring SEQUEDO and as a result became unbalanced.
Rounding the home turn LEPRECHAUN LASS was forced wider onto the track by SWEET JOSESHEE (S. Drake) which shifted out to improve.
N. Tomizawa (RUNATUN) was reprimanded for failing to weigh in for fifth place, when required to do so.
A post race veterinary examination of SEQUEDO, which tailed right out, revealed that the gelding had sustained a superficial laceration to its off hind leg.
RACE 3:COLIN MACKAY THE GOOD GUYS OPEN H’CAP – 1126M.

VIDEO HITS (S. Drake) was slow to begin.
KUTALO (M. Price) jumped awkwardly.
LEEWARDS (A. Taylor) and THIS TOO SHALLPASS (N. Tomizawa) made contact on jumping away.
Near the 850m RAM JAM INN (M. Dorrington) was steadied when tightened for room by THIS TOO SHALLPASS (N. Tomizawa) which was taken in slightly by MY JUBILEE (M. Hackett).
LEEWARDS (A. Taylor) which commenced to over race and hang out leaving the 850m shifted out near the 800m, tightening FOREVER AMEN (R. Goltz) out onto KUTALO causing FOREVER AMEN having to be eased. Trainer L Hatch was advised that an official warning would be placed on the racing manners of LEEWARDS.
Leaving the 600m LEEWARDS shifted out abruptly and raced wide for the remainder of the race.
KUTALO (M. Price) was forced to race wide throughout.
Leaving the 550m THINK ZINC (A. Merritt) got its head up whilst being steadied.
VIDEO HITS (Sheree Drake) made the home turn wide.
RACE 4: BLACK GUILFOYE INGLIS CLASS PLATE – 1024M.
1st WINAURA 2nd Icedane 3rd In a Whirl 4th Your lion eyes
IN A WHIRL (M. Dorrington) was slow to begin.
At the start COVET GOLD (M. Price) and CIAO FOR NOW (M. Hackett) were tightened for room between LITTLE MISSIE (A. Merritt) and GOLD SOLOMON (N. Spencer) which began awkwardly and shifted in.
Shortly after the start GOLD SOLOMON (N. Spencer) shifted out taking YOUR LION EYES (N. Tomizawa) out onto GALLANT PILOT (A. Taylor).
GALLANT PILOT (A. Taylor) raced wide throughout.
RACE 5: CLIVE BERGHOFER DEVEOPMENTS CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1640M.
1st JUST A THIEF 2nd JUSSEMI 3rd BUT SAY 4th MINDIL BEACH
MRS MACDANAHER (N. Tomizawa) jumped in and made contact with SHOWER UPON (A. Merritt).
MALITA (R. Goltz) over raced during the early stages.
Leaving the 500m BUT SAY (M. Dorrington) was held up for a short distance.
RACE 6: HANNA’S FAMILY DEPARTMENT STORE MAIDEN PLATE – 1640M.
1st HERDSMAN 2nd AS CUSTOMARY 3rd MOVE OVER 4th HEADCASE
S. Drake (HEADCASE) replaced C. Eaton who was injured in a fall at the Gold Coast meeting.
HEADCASE (S. Drake) was slow to begin.
PALDOOKA (M. Abe) which was slow to begin raced very wide in the early stages and continued to race wide throughout.
HERDSMAN(M. Dorrington) over raced during the early stages.
Over the final 50m HURRICANE LASS (A. Taylor) was inconvenienced between AS CUSTOMARY (A. Merritt) which shifted in and MOVE OVER (M. Price) which shifted out under pressure. Both M. Price and A. Merritt were advised to exercise more care when their mounts are shifting ground.
RACE 7: TTC CORPORATE SPONSORS MAIDEN H’CAP – 1126M.
1st The Pigman 2nd McQuilty 3rd Courtley Road 4th Cat Dazzle
M. Hackett (Arakawa) replaced D. Peisley who was required for an inquiry at Eagle Farm.
M. Dorrington (Chaka Chaka) replaced K. McAuley who was indisposed after riding at the Warra meeting.
MONTE KWALO (N. Tomizawa) stood flat footed as the gates opened and as a result lost considerable ground. Trainer Mr L. Hatch was advised that MONTE KWALO will be required to compete satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again.
ARAKAWA (M. Hackett) was slow to begin.
KWILLEM (H. Hamada) jumped away awkwardly and made contact with CHAKA CHAKA (M. Dorrington).
Approaching the 800m MY PLANS (D. Hutchins) commenced to over race and had to be steadied when taken in by JOLEKA BEAUTY (S. Apthorpe). MY PLANS continued to shift in resulting in McQUILTY (S. Drake) which was following, having to be steadied.
MY PLANS was steadied from the heels of McQUILTY (S. Drake) which shifted out leaving the 100m. S. Drake was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift out when insufficiently clear.
Leaving the 100m KWILLEM (H. Hamada) was eased when it hung in onto the heels of MY PLANS.
D. Hutchins reported his mount MY PLANS dipped on a number of occasions in the home straight.
Stewards inquired into the reason H. Hamada (KWILLEM) was dislodged approaching the finish. After taking evidence from M. Hackett (ARAKAWA), S. Apthorpe (JOLEKA BEAUTY), R. Goltz (KISS MY BOOTIE), N. Tomizawa (MONTE KWALO) and D. Hutchins (MY PLANS). Stewards adjourned the inquiry until a date to be fixed as H. Hamada was transported to hospital for observation.
