SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Prior to the commencement of the meeting Stewards were notified that Canny Kell (Race1) had injured itself during transportation to the race meeting .Stewards then declared Canny Kell a late scratching at 12.25 pm. Connections were notified that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to the horse’s next start.
Stewards also were notified that Crabby Abby (Race 2) was injured at the stables and was declared a late scratching at 7.46 am acting on veterinary advice. Honour Reign (Race 3) was declared a late scratching at 7.46 am.
Stewards interviewed trainer M. Flanigan as to the reasons for the horse being scratched past the declared deadline and subsequently fined Trainer Flanigan the sum of $100.

Jockey G. Geran was ill and was unable to fulfil his riding engagements and was replaced as per the stewards summary. A Doctor’s certificate will be required by Jockey G. Geran before his next riding engagement.

Stewards fined Trainer M.Kropp -Race 2 ( BLUEBERRY MALT) a $100 for late rider declaration
. LR70(1)

Stewards interviewed Jockey L Roberts as to the reasons why he did not fulfil his engagements in Race 5 .Stewards subsequently fined Jockey Roberts $200 under LR 51(1)

Track down graded to Dead 4 at 6.15pm due to rain.

RACE 1: PSP VIDEO CLASS 1 900M
1st –Our Special Star 2nd – Path’s Express 3rd – Inprivato 4th – Riviera Moss

Patch’s Express (A.Taylor) which began awkwardly and Kilkenny Queen (J.Wood) made contact on jumping away.
Raptitude (C. Dixon) was slow to begin
Approaching the 550M Inprivato (B. Evans), which was over racing ,had to be steadied off the heels of Riviera Moss (J. Brown).
Rounding the home turn Riviera Moss (J. Brown) commenced to hang out and on straightening lay out for a short distance .
Canny Kell was a late scratching at 12.25pm by the Stewards acting on Veterinary Advice .


RACE 2: RUBELLI LEATHER LOUNGES QTIS 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP 1006M
1st – Maid Ready 2nd – Angelic 3rd – Hello Christmas 4th - Tempo Rubato

Connections of Pearly Beach notified the Stewards of their intention to ride the horse more quietly and to allow the horse to find its feet which was contrary to the normal racing pattern .Trainer T Gollan believed that a change of tactics would allow him to give Pearly Beach the opportunity to get to the line better than it had been in its previous races . Stewards notified all relays of the change of tactics

Pearly Beach (S. Bogenhuber) knuckled over on jumping away
At the 750m A Boy Called Sue (A. Taylor) commenced to over race and shifted out abruptly and continued to race greenly for some distance.
Approaching the 450M Pearly Beach (S. Bogenhuber) had to be steadied off the heels of Cape Leveque (N. Evans).
Approaching the home turn Maid Ready (K. Yoshida) over raced and got its head in the air and shifted out.
At the 300M mark Pearly Beach (S. Bogenhuber) when racing to the inside of A Boy Called Sue was tightened for room by Cape Leveque (N. Evans) which , when racing greenly ,shifted out.
Pearly Beach then became momentarily unbalanced and blundered making heavy contact with a Boy Called Sue (A. Taylor)
Stewards inquired into the incident but took no action other than to remind Jockey N Evans to exercise more care in similar circumstances when his mount begins to shift ground
Blueberry Malt (D. LLambias) and Cape Leveque (N. Evans) where both slow to begin.


RACE 3: JEWELS OF THE RANGE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1610M.
1st – Silversmith 2nd –Runjana 3rd – La Joconde 4th – Broken Link

Silversmith (R. Goltz was tightened for room at the start by Lets Deal (W. Cook) and Afling (N. Evans). both of which shifted ground

Nayriddam (A. Merrittt) and La Joconde (A.Taylor) made contact on jumping away.
Instone (J. Wood) raced wide throughout the event.
La Joconde (A. Taylor) was held up for clear running between 450M until the 200M

Keltic Mark( C Eaton ).raced wide in the early stages of the event





RACE 4: XXXXGOLD CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1207M.
1st – Sadliers Crossing 2nd – Audit 3rd – Light the Tunnel 4th – Dan Ch’i

Nattsukee (N. Evans) and Dan Ch’I (A. Taylor)were both slow to begin .

Dan Ch’I (A.Taylor) and Nattsukee (N. Evans) over raced at 900M and at this point Dan Ch’I (A. Taylor) had to be eased from the heels off Light the Tunnel (B. Evans).

Danish Dandy (A. Merritt) over raced in the early stages of the event.



RACE 5: LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT GROUP COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1207M
1st – Double Rise 2nd – Moon Chaser 3rd – Waite On 4th – Cyan

Stage Creation. which refused to proceed to the barrier was declared a late scratching at 6-26pm . Stewards advised Trainer N. Peterson that the horse would be banned to a an Official Barrier Trial.
Stewards spoke to Trainer S Iverson with regards to an incident in the vicinity of the Jockeys Room . Trainer S Iverson was advised by Stewards that the requirements and the Rules concerning the Jockeys Room would be strictly adhered to, and the Trainers responsibility concerning those rules would also be adhered to .Stewards took no action

Taiko( ATaylor) jumped out across Umhlanga Rocks (RGoltz)which was slowly away, Craiglea Jackson( A Merritt) and Outback Now (W Cook )were slow to begin

Approaching the 900m Cyan (ABest ). has shifted in resulting in Little Ombra (W Clasohm )which was following having to steadied .Stewards advised Jockey Best to exercise more care when his mount begins to shift ground .

Nearing the 550m Je Suis Rockstar (C Spry ) has brushed the running rail and raced awkward ly for a short distance .

Prior to the declaration of correct weight ,Stewards declared the deductions of 3cents the win and 3 cents the place on the face value of all winning tickets and the Judges placings were confirmed .All monies wagered on Stage Creation were to be refunded


RACE 6: 3 WAY PHOTOS FILLIES AND MARES MAIDEN HANDICAP 1207M.
1st –Lilleeleavee 2nd – Zsazsa 3rd – Stratplan 4th – Beau Desire

Bejeka (S. Drake)and Nonna Mia (W Clasohm ) were both slow to begin

Swank (A Best ) has jumped out at the start hampering Our Haley ( C Bumstead )

Approaching the 950m Our Hayley (C Bumstead ) became awkward when tightened for room by Swank (A Best ) which was steadied and lost ground when it was was taken in sharply by Zsazsa (C Spry ).
Stewards inquired into the incident and subsequently reprimanded Jockey C Spry (137(a) ) for allowing his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear

Leaving the 950 m Our Hayley then commenced to race ungenerously, and became awkward after brushing the running rail. Then when being steadied off the heels of Countless Moments (R Goltz ), which in turn was steadied off the heels of Beau Desire (a Taylor ),has shifted out making contact with Swank (A Best).
Beau Desire race ungenerously at this point for a few strides when the pace slowed .
