SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
From TTC, 15.11.14

Trainer T. Sears reported that in the days following the event, STORM CRAZY was suffering from minor soreness across the hind quarters, however had responded quickly to chiropractic treatment and it is Mr Sears’ intention to continue with the gelding’s current preparation.

Race 1: Neil Mansell Concrete Benchmark 75 H'cap - 1300m

JUMBO PRINCE – Shortly after the start, rider B. Stower lost the use of her near side rein and in doing so her mount shifted in making heavy contact with the inside running rail near the 1200 dislodging its rider. Subsequently, apprentice B. Stower was examined by medical officers and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements. A veterinary examination revealed the colt to have sustained a laceration to the off fore fetlock.

FALONTINO – Bumped on jumping away.

HERE’S ROGER – Knuckled on jumping away.




Race 2: Wimmers Premium Soft Drinks Class 2 H'cap – 1200m

MAJOR BLOT – Underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start and was cleared to race. Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race. Rider R. Payne reported at scale that her mount was inclined to hang out for the majority of the race. Lost its near fore plate in running.

CHASING THE DRAGON – Bumped on jumping away and placed in restricted room near the 600m.

ROWA’S MARK – Bumped on jumping away.

BROTHER ELVIS – Steady from heels near the 600m.


Race 3: Vanderfield Ratings Band 0-62 H'cap – 1050m

TURBO TEDDY – Slow into stride.

HE IS LOYAL – Slow into stride.

GOLFING – Began awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure near the 200m.

GREAT TOUCH – Shifted in near the 700m making contact with the running rail and becoming unbalanced.

BEAUTIFUL BARB – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 4: Neil Mansell Group Maiden H'cap – 1300m

GOGERTY – Rider R. Payne reported at scale it was her intention to ride the horse in a forward position, however after being tightened shortly after the start, she was obliged to race in a rearward positon. A post race veterinary examination of failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

AHA I SEE – Steadied near the 800m.

MUSICIAN – Raced wide throughout.

EVERINGHAM – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Connections advised the horse would be sent for an immediate spell.


Race 5: Strathayr QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate – 1050m

FAINT BLAZE – Began awkwardly. Stewards questioned rider R. Goltz regarding the poor performance. He stated the filly travelled well throughout the race, however was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event, which placed him at a disadvantage. He was unable to offer any further explanation for the disappointing performance.

POLLY PARROT – Began awkwardly and shifted in.

CHEEKY CHOPPY – Slow into stride. Forced wider near the 700m and wanted to lay in in the home straight.

PRINCESS BOOM – Slow to begin and forced wider near the 700m.

WHATEVER MISS – Commenced to overrace leaving the 700m. Trainer B. Hudson was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse regarding its racing manners. Apprentice J. Greacen was reminded of her obligations regarding excessive use of the whip in a backhand manner.

EMMADEE – Improved onto heels near the 700m and shifted out.


Race 6: Tyrrell’s Wines Class 3 H'cap – 1625m

SARGENOLLY – Began awkwardly.

SPIHRO – Rider R. Goltz reported at scale he was of the view that the horse had failed to back up from its previous run at Beaudesert on 20 November 2014.

CLARENCE VIEW – Rider A. Fancourt reported her mount travelled well to a point near the 400m, however when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
