SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
From Roma Turf Club, 11.12.10 - Race 1, 3.
Jockey W. Doyle was fined $300 for using his whip on GO WHISHKA (Race 1) and on MANEROS CRUISE (Race 3) on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. AR137A(5)(a)(ii).
Race 4.
Jockey K. James was reprimanded for using her whip on CRAIGLEA WARRIOR on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. AR137A(5)(a)(ii)

Trainer K. Maund pleaded guilty to a charge under LR43 in that on 11 and 15 November she allowed an unregistered person to assist her in her training duties. Mrs Maund was fined $300.
From Toowoomba Turf Club, 11.12.10 – Race 3
When questioned in relation to the performance of ZAHAS PRIDE, trainer M. Nolan exlained that the gelding races best when able to lead in its races and dictate terms in front. He added that ZAHAS PRIDE raced wide and further back than anticipated, which was not to its benefit. He added that ZAHASPRIDE pulled up well after the race and he intended to continue with its preparation.
Race 1: Prince Ruling Class 3 Plate – 1500m
1st – Kunninkik 2nd – Ocean Outlaw 3rd – Mother Russia 4th – Aracingwewillgo
Track temperature: 28 degrees celsius
MONTE PEGASUS was declared a late scratching by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice at 4.17 pm after an examination of that gelding found it to have sustained an injury to its off hind coronet band whilst being transported to the course.
BOMBER MURPHY (R. Kerwin) was slow to begin.
Near the 900m, KUNNINKIK (J. Letherby) was eased when momentarily crowded for room by OCEAN OUTLAW (W. Clasohm), which shifted out from behind SILVER CHALLENGE (S. Drake) in order to improve.
For some distance inside the 300m, SILVER CHALLENGE (S. Drake) was held up for clear running to the inside of CRYPTOLOGIST (K. Ashton).
BOMBER MURPHY raced wide throughout.
Following the running of race 1, W. Clasohm reported that he had suffered cramp in both legs whilst crossing the finish line. A short time after being examined by medical staff, he was deemed unfit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements and replacements were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
Race 2: Dalrello Class 5 H'cap – 1200m
1st –Mirabeau 2nd – Verridon 3rd – Dack’s Faz 4th – Counterspy

VERRIDON (R. Goltz) jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, bumping STREET STALL (L. Cheshire), which became unbalanced.
AMAROCCO SPECIAL (R. Kerwin) was slow to begin.
Near the 1000m, AMAROCCO SPECIAL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of COUNTERSPY (P. Wolfgram) and shifted out slightly, inconveniencing DACK’S FAZ (S. Bogenhuber).
DELL AMBY (K. Yoshida) and DACK’S FAZ were held up for clear running rounding the final turn behind SWEET MARIE (C. Eaton), which was commencing to yield ground.
Passing the 350m, DELL AMBY was momentarily steadied when attempting to take a run between SWEET MARIE and BASE DANCER (J. Kehoe), which shifted in slightly when losing ground.
STREET STALL (L. Cheshire) laid in when under pressure in the home straight.
When questioned in relation to his riding of BASE DANCER, J. Kehoe explained that the gelding had a tendency to race fiercely in its trackwork and was advised that should it commence to overrace it would be in the gelding’s best interests to allow it to stride along. He stated that at the 800m he attempted to restrain the gelding to take cover, however it commenced to race fiercely with him.
When questioned in relation to his riding of HARDWICK, apprentice T. Fujinuma explained that he was instructed to have the horse wherever comfortable, and he said he elected to go forward as there was little pace in the race. He stated at the 900m he was of the view that BASE DANCER, which was racing a length back to his inside, would relinquish its position and let him cross, however when that gelding commenced to hold its ground he was caught in a 3-wide position. T. Fujinuma added from that point it was his intention to restrain the gelding to a position closer to the rail, however was unable to do so as HARDWICK had commenced to overrace with him and was committed to continue to race 3 wide. He further stated that as a result of the hard run his mount compounded over the final 200m of the race. Apprentice Fujinuma stated that notwithstanding this, the horse had worked well in trackwork leading up to today’s race and did express disappointment with its performance. Trainer P. Sexton expressed disappointment with the gelding’s performance notwithstanding its hard run and was of the view that HARDWICK may not have backed up from its first up performance at Toowomba on 27 November. He added that the gelding had pulled up well after the race and that he would continue with its preparation, however may look at spacing its runs over longer periods of time. Stewards advised apprentice Fujinuma that he had erred in judgement in not being more urgent in taking up a closer position when it was his intention to do so near the 1000m, and further he should have made greater effort to restrain HARDWICK in order to obtain a more favourable position closer to the rail. In the circumstances, no further action was taken.
Race 3: Grey Affair Maiden H'cap – 1200m
1st – Perfect Days 2nd – Ai Jo 3rd – Captain Jack 4th – Little Flute

Trainer R. Macrae was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for ALI JUMPED OUT by the prescribed time.
Trainer S. Judge was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for BROKACANON by the prescribed time.
Stewards advised connections that a warning would be placed on OTEKAH, which was fractious in the mounting enclosure and when parading behind the gates.
MISS UNI (P. Wolfgram), which was fractious in the barriers prior to the start, reared on jumping away and lost ground.
PEAK PERFORMANCE (J. Kehoe) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
PERFECT DAYS (N. Tomizawa) and CAPPIN JACK (K. Ashton) bumped on jumping away.
OTEKAH (A. Best) jumped awkwardly and shifted out, bumping QUEEN ROSE (K. Banks), which became unbalanced.
DODGING EDDIE (N. Yamada) was slow to begin.
CAPPIN JACK was inclined to race ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
PEAK PERFORMANCE raced wide from the 700m.
Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight, BROKACANON (L. Cheshire) was held up for clear running behind OTEKAH (A. Best) and to the inside of GREY MAMBO (C. Eaton).
Race 4: J.J. Atkins Terrace Opening Class 1 H'cap – 1000m
1st – Extreme Mover 2nd – Status King 3rd – Nobody Knows 4th – Your Mate Jimmy

Trainer P. Kings was reprimanded for failing to produce the Document of Description for LITTLE ANTICS .
COSMIC DESTINY was fractious in the mounting enclosure, and when parading to the barrier continued to be extremely fractious, dislodging its rider on a number of occasions. The gelding was unable to be ridden to the barrier and was declared a late scratching at 6.41 pm. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on COSMIC DESTINY were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 2 cents in the dollar on the face value of win and place bets. Trainer T. Malseed was advised that COSMIC DESTINY must trial satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to its next race start.
NOBODY KNOWS (R. Goltz) jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, bumping LITTLE ANTICS (K. Banks).
Shortly after the start, YOUR MATE JIMMY (T. Fujinuma) and SAM’S CROSSING (N. Yamada) were inconvenienced when crowded between STATUS KING (K. Yoshida), which shifted out slightly, and ZAHA’S GOLD (B. Richardson), which shifted in.
Soon after jumping BOYNG (R. Kerwin) had to be steadied when crowded for room by BUILT TOUGH (N. Tomizawa), which laid in and away from QUEENOFBEAUDESERT (P. Wolfgram).
Near the 400m, QUEENOFBEAUDESERT laid in slightly and bumped LITTLE ANTICS.
YOUR MATE JIMMY (T. Fujinuma) raced wide throughout.
Race 5: Clarisolaus Maiden Plate – 1500m
1st –Count Romano 2nd – Kesthin 3rd – Zodiac Prince 4th – Sheza flashlady
Track temperature: 20 degrees celsius.
DEKARNAGE (S. Drake) and MEDICI (S. Egan) pulled hard in the middle stages.
Approaching the home turn, MEDICI (S. Egan) was held up behind ARGUN (L. Cheshire) and to the inside of COBALT BLUE (R. Goltz) and was unable to improve.
Rounding the final turn, DEKARNAGE (S. Drake) had to be steadied when crowded for room by ARGUN (L. Cheshire), which hung in.
Near the 100m, COBALT BLUE (R. Goltz) had to be steadied away from the heels of PACIFIC THUNDER (S. Bogenhuber), which shifted in. S. Bogenhumber, rider of PACIFIC THUNDER, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
N. Tomizawa, rider of the 4th placegetter, SHEZA FLASHLADY, failed to weigh in after the race. N. Tomizawa was fined $200. In assessing penalty, stewards took into consideration N. Tomizawa’s good record regarding this rule.
Race 6: Just Now QTIS 3yo Maiden H'cap – 1300m
1st –Knute 2nd – Dragon Style 3rd – Forever Gentle 4th – Kilawoman
Track temperature: 20 degrees celsius.
Prior to the start, NOSHOWS reared in the barriers, dislodging jockey P. Wolfgram. NOSHOWS was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to race. NOSHOWS was then fractious behind the gates and for a short time prior to being reloaded. Trainer K. Kemp was advised that he must provide a barrier certificate for NOSHOWS prior to its next race start.
DAYLITEROBBERY (J. Letherby) began very awkwardly and lost ground at the start, and then shortly afterwards was carried out by JHELUM (N. Yamada).
DAYLITEROBBERY (J. Letherby) raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.
Near the 550m, BLITZED (A. Best) was carried wider on the track by FOREVER GENTLE (T. Fujinuma), whch shifted out in order to improve.
Apprentice S. Bogenhuber was fined $200 for using her whip in excess of 5 times prior to the 100m.
A post race veterinary examination of NOSHOWS failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 7: Mr Cromwell Class 1 H'cap – 1850m
1st –No Shackles 2nd – Smarty Smart 3rd – Leica Pulse 4th – Extravagant Miss
Track temperature: 20 degrees celsius.
When being restrained at the start, HONOURED (R. Goltz) shifted out abruptly.
BOOFHEAD (C. Eaton) raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
Near the 800m, LEICA PULSE (N. Tomizawa) was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ESPIONAGE (P. Wolfgram), which gave ground quickly and shifted out, inconveniencing EXTRAVAGANT MISS (L. Cheshire), which had to be steadied.
Passing the 350m, HONOURED (R. Goltz) was momentarily inconvenienced when HEZA GURU (J. Kehoe), which shifted in slightly.
N. Tomizawa, rider of LEICA PULSE, was reprimanded for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.
