Race 1: Bundaberg Rum Come As You Are NYE Party Class 1 H'cap – 1200m
1st – Sidada 2nd – Monde Bijou 3rd – Basaltic Banne 4th – My Sweet Valentine
Track temperature: 27 degrees Celsius
OUTBACK BABE (J. Brown) was slow to begin.
Inside the 200m, RUN BLONDIE RUN (W. Clasohm) was badly unbalanced and struck the rail when improving into a narrow run to the inside of EQUAL ARCH (S. Bogenhuber), which was weakening.
Race 2: K & R Plumbing Supplies Class 5 H'cap – 1300m
1st – Looped 2nd – Dusty's Felt 3rd – Alinga Star 4th – Rock Rave
Track temperature: 28 degrees Celsius
TITANIUM ROCK (A. Best) and SPACE STAR (N. Evans) were slow to begin.
Near the 1000m, ROCK RAVE (S. Bogenhuber) shifted in and away from JUST A GLAMOUR (W. Clasohm) and bumped PRIMEVAL DEMAND (N. Tomizawa).
Rounding the home turn and in the home straight when placed under pressure, ALINGA STAR (N. Yamada) hung in.
Race 3: New Year's Eve Black Tie Event Class 2 H'cap – 1625m
1st – Uncle Heaven 2nd – Griffith Lad 3rd – Miss Chancesxaar 4th - Fluggles
Track temperature: 28degrees Celsius.
Passing the 1000m, FLUGGLES (N. Evans) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of FUNDEVOGEL (N. Yamada), which shifted in slightly.
Near the 400m, LADY INNOCENT (K. Yoshida) dipped after clipping the heels of MISS CHANCESXAAR (W. Clasohm) which, when weakening, hung in badly.
Following the race it was noted that BLUE EGO had bled from both nostrils. The veterinary surgeon also reported that the gelding was suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. BLUE EGO will be barred from racing for a period of 3 months. Trainer L. Cross indicated that it would be his intention to now retire the gelding.
The performance of FUNDEVOGEL was considered unacceptable. Trainer G. Teal advised that it was only the horse's second start in his care, adding that it had a history of leg problems. He said for this reason he was restricted in the work he was able to give FUNDEVOGEL, which was having only its second start in 4 weeks. Mr Teal was advised that the gelding's performance was unacceptable and it would not be permitted to start at TAB meetings until such time as it shows improved performance at the discretion of the stewards.

1st – Grab The Loot 2nd – Smaching Bottles 3rd – Winning Moments 4th - Cuban
Track temperature: 22 degrees Celsius.
Trainer W. Ingram was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for SIR SCISSORS by the prescribed time.
Trainer W. Baker was fined $100 for presenting WINNNG MOMENTS to the mounting yard without a surcingle, which was part of that gelding's gear.
WINNING AGAIN (R. Goltz) began awkwardly and shifted out, bumping SIR SCISSORS (J. Brown).
PERSIAN GLANCE (J. Letherby) began awkwardly.
WINNING MOMENTS (A. Best) was slow to begin.
Race 5: Snooze Toowoomba Class 3 Plate – 1050m
1st – Rama Kaho 2nd – Golden Trinkets 3rd – Gimmemore 4th – Red Mohican
Track temperature: 18 degrees Celsius.
RED MOHICAN (S. Drake) was slow into stride.
Near the 700m, RED MOHICAN, which was racing keenly, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of UPHEBOBS (K. Yoshida). Following this, RED MOHICAN continued to race keenly.
UPHEBOBS hung in rounding the home turn.
Race 6: Central Jewellers QTIS 3yo Maiden H'cap – 1300m
1st –Windel Tori 2nd – Senji Star 3rd – Cards 'n' Owls 4th – Exone
Track temperature: 18 degrees Celsius.
On jumping away, MAGIMAE (L. Cumberland) was checked and EXONE (S. Drake) badly inconvenienced between CLASSIC COUNTRY (J. Hoopert), which shifted in slightly, and TATT'S LUCKY (N. Yamada), which jumped outwards.
RENNAM (J. Kehoe) was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, DEXTERITY (W. Clasohm) shifted out away from CLASSIC COUNTRY (J. Hoopert) and made contact with ELIZA JOY (J. Letherby).
Near the 1000m, SENJI STAR (K. Banks) shifted out away from WINDEL TORI (N. Tomizawa) and in doing so placed TATT'S LUCKY close to the heels of CLASSIC COUNTRY.
Passing the 500m CLASSIC COUNTRY was checked and then clipped the heels of SCARLET WITCH (J. Brown), which began to weaken quickly.
J. Hoopert reprort that CLASSIC COUNTRY was inclined to race keenly and hung in in the early and middle stages, and in the straight he had change the whip through to his right hand, after which the horse then raced tractably over the final stages.
Race 7: SEDL Agencies Maiden H'cap – 1300m
1st – Commander Boltz 2nd – Forward Scout 3rd – Prince Rego 4th - Loxley
Track temperature: 17 rees Celsius.
Due to transport difficulties, J. Warrington was unable to fulfil his engagement on LET ME ROCK and was replaced by N. Yamada.
SPECIAL FOR SURE (K. Yoshida) was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, BEST PICK (J. Hoopert) attempted to buck for a couple of strides. Trainer M. Simpson will be advised that a warning will be placed on the the mare regarding its racing manners.
Near the 1000m FORWARD SCOUT (W. Clasohm) and DIVINE SCENT (J. Letherby) made heavy contact.
Passing the 900m LET ME ROCK (N. Yamada) had to be steadied off the heels of PRINCE REGO (N. Tomizawa), which shifted in when not properly clear. When LET ME ROCK eased, SPECIAL FOR SURE and BOURDON (R. Goltz), which were following, had to be restrained as a consequence.
Making the turn near the 600m, LET ME ROCK hung out across the heels of COMMANDER BOLTZ (G. Goold).
Rounding the home turn, SPECIAL FOR SURE hung out.
In the straight when placed under pressure, FORWARD SCOUT shifted in.
