Race 1: Dale Eiser Memorial Maiden H'cap – 1200m
1st – Ruling Miss Stuff 2nd – Stamp Of Authority 3rd – Surly Temple 4th – Cardwell

Track temperature – 21 degrees Celsius

As no jockey was available, trainer B. Robinson was unable to declare a rider for CARDWELL at declaration time. Upon the scratching of LUXTON DEEPING, S. Bogenhuber became available who was then declared as the rider of CARDWELL.

On jumping, TSUIMAI GAL (J. Hoopert) was severely checked when crowded by PINOCCHIO JACK (P. Randall), which shifted out abruptly.

SAUVIGNON BLANC (D. McWhinney) and RAPID JET SPUR (A. Taylor) were slow to begin.

Making the turn near the 900m, TSUIMAI GAL raced tight inside SURLY TEMPLE (N. Tomizawa).

From the 500m, STAMP OF AUTHORITY (J. Letherby) hung out and shifted ground.

Rounding the turn and in the straight, OUTBACK PRIDE (A. Best) hung in.

P. Randall, rider of PINOCCHIO JACK, was reprimanded for using his whip 6 times prior to the 100m in a forehand manner.


Race 2: Oscar Jenson Memorial Class 1 H'cap - 1300m
1st – Olliewood 2nd – Pukekura Boy 3rd – Laredo 4th – Hidden Dancer

Track temperature – 19 degrees Celsius

BOOTS STAY ON (D. McWhinney) stood flatfooted and lost ground at the start.

TIME FOR INDI (R. Goltz) was slow to begin.

For a considerable distance after the 1100m, LAREDO (A. Best), which was racing keenly, raced tight inside PUKEKURA BOY (J. Hoopert).

Approaching the 1000m, BOOTS STAY ON commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from the heels of SANDY VIEW (N. Evans) near the 900m.

Nearing the 500m, SANDY VIEW was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HIDDEN DANCER (S. Bogenhuber) and endeavoured to shift out, making heavy contact with DEFY ALL ODDS (A. Taylor), and in the straight near the 200m SANDY VIEW was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for a run between DEFY ALL ODDS and HIDDEN DANCER, which shifted out slightly.



Race 3: Jasmond Transport Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1625m
1st – Rocket Boots 2nd – Tisani Star 3rd – Monjaya Boy 4th – Ellie La Vie

Track temperature – 19 degrees Celsius

The explanation tendered for the late declaration of rider for MUSASHI OF MIEKO was accepted.

ARTSECRETS (M. Abe) was slow to begin.

For some distance after the 1000m, SLYSERA (A. Best) was continually bumped by ELLIE LA VIE (R. Goltz), which was endeavouring to shift in behind TISANI STAR (N. Tomizawa). R. Goltz, rider of ELLIE LA VIE, was reminded of his obligations to provide sufficient racing room for runners to his inside.













Race 4: Fresenius Class 2 H'cap 1050m
1st – Song Of The Bell 2nd – Diamond Heist 3rd – Le Max 4th – Dream Bella

Track temperature – 18 degrees Celsius

JUST ELVIS (J. Letherby) blundered at the start and lost considerable ground.

DREAM BELLA (S. Bogenhuber) began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly, resulting in jockey Bogenhuber losing her right stirrup iron for the first 100m of the race.

A post race veterinary examination of RUBIES DESTINY, which performed disappointingly, was found to be lame in the off hind hock. Trainer G. Bein advised that the filly would now be sent for a lengthy spell. On this assurance, no further action was taken.


Race 5: Barb Mitchell Memorial H'cap – 850m
1st – Lotto Hill 2nd – More Say 3rd – Perfect Rainbow 4th – Mizrachi

Track temperature –18 degrees Celsius

BITUMINOUS was declared a late scratching at 4 pm after sustaining an injury at its stables.

As A. Best was indisposed after riding in Race 3, S. Payne was substituted as the rider of CELEBRATION MISS.

Shortly after the start, WINALONE (L. Morrison) was badly unbalanced between CELEBRATION MISS (S. Payne) and PERFECT RAINBOW (M. Abe), which was taken in slightly by LETHAL ROSE (J. Hoopert).

Approaching the 400m, GENERAL ASCOT (J. Letherby) was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MIZRACHI (S. Bogenhuber).


Race 6: Aquacure Class 1 H'cap – 2000m
1st – Nature Bites 2nd – One Stop 3rd – Bilodeau 4th – Flippin Marvellous

Track temperature – 17 degrees Celsius

No racing incidents.
