Race 1: POP’S LUCK broke through the barriers, quickly restrained and reloaded. LONDON LASS slow into stride. MIGHTY RUSH jumped outward coming in contact with DANLU which was slow into stride. Approaching 850m DANLU eased off heels of NIGHT ATTACK (C Spry) which had rolled inward. At 400m SIR WINTERWOOD eased off heels of NIGHT ATTACK which rolled inward. Apprentice C Spry issued with a caution. Approaching 400m VANIANT rolled outward making contact with CANNY DESIGN. Over the concluding stages MIGHTY RUSH rolled outward making contact with CANNY DESIGN. Time Off: 10:40am

Race 2: MERE WORDS and FOREVER GRAND were slow away. Rounding the 700m turn RELUCTANT GROOM rolled inward hampering LINDA LUSH LIPS.
Time Off: 11:55am

Race 3: RIVER AFFAIR jumped awkwardly. AINVAY jumped awkwardly in the air, lost considerable ground. SHE’S A TAAN jumped awkwardly, slow away. In home straight SUPERB RING shifted outward hampering WINNEZZAR. In the home straight RIVER AFFAIR shifted outward making contact with MARCELO on at least two occasions. Time Off: 11:50am

Race 4: S. Apthorpe (Strong Hope) and L. Roberts (Paddock Champ) both dismounted to load then both slow away. PETRO RANGER difficult to load causing a delay, then jumped outward and continued out hampering GUS’S BEAUTY and PADDOCK CHAMP, connections were advised the colt must pass an official barrier jumpout prior to its next start. GOLD BOLERO jumped in air, slow into stride. GOLD BOLERO raced greenly with its head in air throughout. LUST IS A MUST raced wide throughout. Time Off: 12:50pm

Race 5: LONG LONG VIVID and MY SWEET DARLING were both slow away. Rounding the home turn WEERIBEE shifted outward onto SIR SIDNA at least two occasions. LONG LONG VIVID was held up on the turn behind AVAN RANCH which was losing ground. Time Off: 1:50pm









Race 6: BAZZA’S BOY jumped awkwardly. CANDY WALK jumped outward coming in contact with AUNTIE DAWN. THE LANKY YANK dwelt when the gates opened and lost ground. Jockey B Appo (AUNTIE DAWN) was found guilty of charge of careless riding when his mount shifted inward when insufficiently clear of SAM (K Sawyers) and BAZZA’S BOY (S Apthorpe) resulting in both runners having to be checked at approx the 800m. Jockey Bradley Appo was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 30 June 2001 up to and including the 11 July 2001 (7 meetings). THE LANKY YANK shifted outward abruptly near the 200m hampering HYPERTENSION and SEA BABY. Time Off 3.10pm.

RACE 7: SPECTFIELD jumped awkwardly. EL BE DOUBLE YOU jumped outward hampering SUNDAE JESTER. BUTTERBEAN was held up in the straight behind SUNDAE JESTER. COUNTRY ROSE raced greenly in the straight. Time Off 3.10pm.

All winners were swabbed.
