WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE
RACE 1: SCOTT MCLENNAN ELECTRICAL MAIDEN H'CAP – 800m
FOLLY’S GIRL was slow to begin.
MIAMI BAY encountered to home turn awkwardly.
SPUD raced extremely ungenerously throughout the event.
Inside the final 50m PAUNTANG shifted out coming in to contact with FOLLY’S GIRL which in turn shifted out onto MIAMI BOY.
On the finishing line COSMO DANCER shifted in abruptly coming in heavy contact with PRICEY’S BEAUTY.
RACE 2:DANNY LYONS SPORTS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1300m
VAN AWESOME was slow to begin and raced extremely erratically and ungenerously throughout, striking the running rail at the 1100m.
BAZZA’S BOY jumped out at the start crowding MOONLIT SEA and EDINBURGH CASTLE.
Jockey S. Apthorpe was reprimanded for allowing his mount BAZZA’S BOY to shift out abruptly on the home corner resulting in SIR DUKE easing.
RACE 3: DON FILMER MEMORIAL CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1200m
Approaching the 800m KELLINA BAY shifted out inconveniencing ROYAL ABBY which had to be eased. Apprentice M. Kawaguchi was cautioned.
RACE 4: D & D PEEL CABINET MAKERS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1500m
ALICIAN refused to leave the barriers and did compete in the race. Connections were advised that ALICIAN would be required to pass a further barrier test prior its next race.
Leaving the 1250m the saddle on WICKY POPO shifted forward placing apprentice C. Eaton at a distinct disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
Apprentice J. McKinnon, the rider of NOLA’S DREAM was issued with a reprimand for allowing his mount to shift abruptly leaving the 100m.
RACE 5: ICEBREAK STAKES OPEN H'CAP – 1500m
FLYING CARD raced erratically during the middle stages of the event.
At the 250m OLE SUNDOWNER shifted in coming into contact with FLYING GOD which was tightened for room.
ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
