SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

RACE 1: BENZ AUTO DISMANTLERS QTIS CLASS 1 H’CAP – 800M.

At the start TONI’S CHOICE lost ground when tightened for room between MONO MAC, which jumped in and GALLANT GAYLE, which jumped out.

TUCAN JAZZ was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start DANLO shifted out taking ROCKET SOUND onto GALLANT GAYLE, which was eased.

PING MING and MISS LEWANI shifted in approaching the 200m.

Leaving the 200m PING MING (S Apthorpe) and MISS LEWANI (P Denton) shifted out resulting in ROCKET SOUND (A Parramore) being checked when tightened for room near the 150m between MISS LEWANI and PEDRO AND CRAIG (M Smith-Lester), which shifted in marginally. At a subsequent inquiry it was established leaving the 200m MISS LEWANI (P Denton) was attempting to improve to the outside of PING MING (S Apthorpe), which appeared to be clear of MISS LEWANI at that stage. P Denton (MISS LEWANI) continued to improve to the outside of PING MING and near 150m when ROCKET SOUND was checked it was questionable if PING MING was clear of MISS LEWANI. Stewards were unable to prove without doubt that one rider was responsible for the incident. Stewards severely reprimanded S Apthorpe for failing to stop riding and straighten his mount when it was shifting ground, which contributed to the incident. P Denton was severely reprimanded for persisting to improve to the outside of PING MING, which contributed to the incident.

MISS LEWANI and PEDRO AND CRAIG were eased over the concluding stages when tightened for room between PING MING (S Apthorpe), which shifted out and MONO MAC (A Taylor), which shifted in. S Apthorpe and A Taylor were advised to exercise more care in future.

MONO MAC was forced to race wide throughout.

RACE 2: WARWICK SHIRE FLYER CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M.

At the start DESERT COLUMN and SUR LE BLOND were tightened for room between BUNDY AND ICE, which jumped out and OH MARTINI, which jumped in.

STRIKING LOOKS jumped away awkwardly.

BELLE’S ODYSSEY and DAWN SERVICE made contact on jumping away.

OVER THE YEARS, which jumped away awkwardly, raced wide throughout.

TINGOLION, which was slow to begin, was eased from the heels of CALL ME ADAMS approaching the 800m.

Near the 800m STRIKING LOOKS got its head up whilst being eased room the heels of OH MARTINI.

DAWN SERVICE made the home turn very wide.

J Starr (BELLE’S ODYSSEY) was cautioned for not weighing in 5th. J Starr was reminded of his obligations to ride his mount to the finish of the race if it has some chance of finishing in the prize-money.

RACE 3: MAYOR’S MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M.

OUR PRYMSLEA ROSE and WILKOMMEN were slow to begin.

MIND STAR and MISTER PIERCE jumped away awkwardly.

Leaving the 900m JAB ‘N’ MOVE and ELYSEE STRIKE raced in restricted room for a short distance between PULL THE LEVER and MISTER PIERCE.

INTESCA, which raced wide throughout, made the home turn wide and was forced wider on the track leaving the 200m by LATVIAN LOVER, which shifted out under pressure.

OUR PRYMSLEA ROSE was held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

FATCHO raced wide throughout.

MIND STAR was checked from the heels of CHICAGO ROSE (W Moore), which rolled in after the winning post. W Moore was advised to exercise more care in future when his mount is shifting ground.

A Taylor (INTESCA) dropped her whip near the 250m.
MIND STAR, which returned to scale with blood in the off nostril, was stood down from racing until the gelding has galloped over 1000m in front of stewards.

RACE 4: RAHEEN STUD CLASS 3 PLATE – 1500M.

Due to a miss-understanding P Wolfgram was declared as the rider for IRIS KIAP. W Moore was the replacement rider.

IRIS KIAP, which was held for clear running in the early stages of the home straight, was eased approaching the 200m when MONTE OCKY rolled in momentarily.

LAURA LEIGH was held up for clear running from the early stages of the home straight until leaving the 200m.

W Moore (IRIS KIAP) was reprimanded for sending out the wrong saddle cloth number. Stewards took into account W Moore’s good record when considering the penalty.

RACE 5: ERGON ENERGY CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1200M.

J Starr (CHIEF QUALO) replaced D Stanley who was unable to ride at the required weight. D Stanley was fined the sum of $100.
