RACE 1: MAIDEN PLATE 800M

BAANYA SON (R Ride) stood flatfooted at the start and lost considerable ground. Trainer G Teal was advised a warning would be placed against the gelding. EL MOXIE PRINCESS (M O’Brien) was slow to begin. PALACE SEQUEL (T Sergeant) began awkwardly then was crowded slightly between runners.

RACE 2: MAIDEN PLATE 1200M

WINNING MOMENTS (A Fancourt) was slow to begin and then was unable to muster speed in the early stages. CLIFTON STAR (L Appo) was fractious in the barrier. MISS ANDONEL (S Apthorpe) was slow to begin
Approaching the first turn, CLIFTON STAR wanted to hang out, and was checked across the heels of OSCARBEN. Then in the straight it shifted wider and was eased down. Trainer Davidson, was advised that a warning would be placed against the gelding in regard to its manners.
TAMAMUSHI (S Bogenhuber) was steadied when CLIFTON STAR shifted out near the 600m.
In the straight both DANCING AL and JESSICA’S HOPE shifted ground.

RACE 3: CLASS B HCP 1200M

LE MAX (W Clasohm) was slow to begin then improved along the rail and was then crowded by ROYAL ROCKET (L McCoy) which shifted in. L McCoy was reprimanded.
SHOW US GOLD and SKYIELD, were slow to begin.



RACE 4: OPEN HCP 1100M

ANCHOR BOLT and IMA JOKER were crowded on jumping when BONZA BRONZE ( B Richardson) shifted in. B Richardson was told to exercise more care.
Near the 600m CANADIAN JOY (T Sergeant) got racing keenly, and had to be steadied off the heels of BACK ON TOP.

RACE 5: CLASS 3 PLATE 1350M

IZA COMIN’ (A Smith) and BACKUP PLAN (B Hull) were very slow to begin.
ANNETTE’S PUMPKIN (B Powell) was slow into stride.
Near the 100m GIVE ME ROOM (T Serjeant) was eased when JACK ‘N’ ME (L Appo) shifted out under pressure.. L Appo was advised to exercise more care.
