RACE 1.ELDERS VIRBAC MAIDEN PLATE.800M

1st JOY TIME 2nd SWEET SWEET LOVE 3rd ROB THE VAULT 4th SPECIAL FOR SURE

Jockey W O’Connell who was late to arrive on course was replaced by D McMaster. Subsequently Jockey W O’Connell advised that he had transportation difficulties en route to the track and was unable to arrive on course by the prescribed time. Explanation accepted.

VEICO (Appr J Johnson) jumped very slowly and lost considerable ground. Trainer Miss D Steinback advised that the filly must pass a barrier test prior to racing again.

CAUFIELD ( J Mc Kinnon ) jumped outwards contacting SWEET SWEET LOVE (N Yamada) which in turn crowded MASTER KWILLA (B Powell).

CAUFIELD raced with its head in the air at the 600m.

JOY TIME (D McMaster) hung out badly down the running taking ROB THE VAULT (B Hull) outwards. JOY TIME proved difficult to ride out last 100m. Attention Trainer J Weidemann.



RACE 2.ZOOMA SIGNS MAIDEN PLATE.1200M

1st GENERAL BAXTER 2nd NO HOOPS 3rd SOARING EAGLE 4th OZICROWN

ECCLESIA (G Geran) slow to jump.

SCOTCH ROCKET (WO’Connell) hung out at the start. After straightening SCOTCH ROCKET moved out pushing DOWN THE MOONIE (D Robinson) out on to SOARING EAGLE (N Yamada) . Jockey O’Connell reminded of his responsibility to stop riding and straighten.
SIEANNA ROYAL (C Eaton) lost considerable ground shortly after the start when OZICROWN (J McKinnon) which began awkwardly moved in.

Jockey N Yamada reported that highly fancied runner SOARING EAGLE began slowly and then showed no early pace. Jockey Yamada believed the filly appeared to be one paced and ran on well without dash and felt that SOARING EAGLE would be better suited to longer distances. Explanation noted.



RACE 3.DMC CONSTRUCTIONS CLASS B HCP.1100M

1st SCARLETT SON 2nd DANCING AL 3rd GOODY FOUR SHOES 4th KEWAY

PREVAILABLE (W O’Connell) jumped inwards brushing SHINER (C Eaton) MASTER FORESHORE (Appr J Johnson) which was restless in the stalls was slow to jump.

TATTS LUCKY (G Geran) slow to jump.

CANADIAN HUSSEY (Appr A Fancourt ) showed no early pace & drifted back.

GOODY FOUR SHOES (R Goltz) wide throughout.

SHINER eased of the heels of Keway (N Yamada) at the 500m.

SCARLETT SUN (D Robinson) drifted out on straightening slightly inconveniencing DANCING AL (K Yoshida).


RACE 4.LINCON HIRE & SALES CLASS 4 HCP.1100M

1st GOA 2nd DALINGI 3rd LOOSE CANNON 4th ARBORIES LAD

ABORIES LAD (B Powell) jumped out at the start contacting LOOSE CANNON (Appr A Smith).

OTAGO (J Hoopert) was very slow to jump. On returning to the mounting yard Jockey Hoopert applied to the stewards to have OTAGO declared a non runner. On viewing the patrol video it was evident that OTAGO had her head turned but made no effort to jump on terms and as such was declared a runner. Warning placed on OTAGO.

GOA (D McMaster) caught wide in the middle stages.


RACE 5.PETER STEWART AUTOMOTIVE CLASS 2.1350M

1st FAIRSWAP 2nd SARS MARIO 3RD PERFECT DAYS 4th GENEVA GOLD

NO SHOWS was injured in the tie up stalls and was subsequently scratched at 2.05pm on veterinary advice. Veterinary Certificate required prior to racing again.

GOLD TAP (Appr A Smith) slow to jump.

GENEVA GOLD (B Powell) overaced at the 900m, got on heels and was eased.

SARS MARIO (W O’Connell) rolled out on the home turn causing FAIR SWAP (Appr J Johnson) to change course to the inside of SARS MARIO.

IRIR (C Eaton) raced greenly at the 700m.
