Race 1: Class B Handicap 850m

Apprentice S. Wiseman was fined $100 under AR92(12) for failing to claim her full allowance on CRAIGLEA EDGE.
EDWARDSCISSORHANDS (R. Hancock) who raced wide the majority of the event, was inclined to lay in under pressure in the middle stages.
The rider of BLUE PERRO, App. K. Gates, reported that her mount didn’t handle today’s track conditions and also resented the kick back from the surface.
Race 2: Class 3 Plate 1100m
1st: Dane Rhythm 2nd: Twogundan 3rd: Cheque For Freedom 4th: Muffet
TWOGUNDAN (R. Hancock) and CLANG DE VERE (J. Hoopert) were both slow to begin.
DANE RHYTHM (C. Kearney) and MUFFET (App. C. Priest) bumped on jumping away.
ALL FOR ROME (S. Apthorpe) and CHEQUE FOR FREEDOM (App. K. Gates) raced wide the majority of the event.
TWOGUNDAN was held up and unable to improve between the 800m and 600m, and at this point shifted wider on the track to improve.
TWOGUNDAN shifted in under pressure near the 50m and made contact with DANE RHYTHM.
The rider of TWOGUNDAN, R. Hancock, was fined $150 under AR137A(5)(a)(ii), for using his whip in a forehand manner in excess of 5 time prior to the 100m.
Race 3: Lewis Duff Memorial QTIS Maiden Plate 1100m
1st: Uston 2nd: Combat Cuddles 3rd: General Baxter 4th: Craiglea Spartan
GENERAL BAXTER (App. S. Wiseman) and CRAIGLEA SPARTAN (C. Kearney) were both tightened on jumping between MAD ACTION (App. K. Gates) and MY CALENDAR GIRL (B. Thomson), both of which shifted ground.
CRAIGLEA BARKLY (App. C. Priest) had to be steadied near the 800m when tightened by BLACK TREASURE (R. Hancock), which was taken in by MY CALENDAR GIRL.
CANADA GATE (D. Gill) and GENERAL BAXTER raced wide the majority of the event.
Stewards opened an inquiry into the reasons for B. Thomson, the rider of MY CALENDAR GIRL, being dislodged near the 700m. Evidence was taken from C. Kearney, the rider of CRAIGLEA SPARTAN, and R. Hancock, the rider of BLACK TREASURE. The inquiry was adjourned to a date and time to be fixed to allow for B. Thomson to provide evidence. B. Thomson was transported to hospital by paramedics for further tests and observations.
Race 4: Open Handicap 1100m
1st: Frenardi 2nd: Patties Mate 3rd: Éclair Magique 4th: Obliviator
ALL DIEHARD (D.Gill) was tightened at the start between ÉCLAIR MAGIQUE (S. Apthorpe) and GENERAL NONSENSE (K. Pedron) which shifted in.
ÉCLAIR MAGIQUE had to be steadied near the 600m when tightened to the inside of PATTIES MATE (R. Hancock) which shifted in slightly.
OBLIVIATOR (App. S. Egan) raced wide the majority of the event.
Race 5: Class 2 Handicap 1465m
1st: Gallus 2nd: Secret Will 3rd: Skeyana 4th: Love That Chick
SUPER FELIX (S. Apthorpe) and LOVE THAT CHICK (R. Hancock) were both slow to begin.
CORONADO (App. S. Egan) jumped in the air at the start and lost ground.
WRIGHTY (App. C. Priest) hung out leaving the straight on the first occasion, forcing GALLUS (J. Hoopert) wider on the track.
LOVE THAT CHICK shifted out shortly after straightening and made contact with WRIGHTY.
SECRET WILL (App. T. Harrison), SKEYANA (J. Warrington), and GALLUS all raced wide the majority of the event.
