STEWARDS REPORT

STEWARDS PANEL: Mr P.Cooper, Mr D.Delforce, Mr G.Scott

WEATHER – Fine TRACK – Good RAIL – True

RACE 1: MAIDEN H'CAP – 900mtrs
Trainer E.Wilkinson was issued a reprimand for failing to scratch WALK THE LINE by the prescribed time. As the gates opened PEPPI PRIMAVERA (App J.Dagan) jumped outwards and made contact with FOREVER SCARY (C.Beets). At approximately the 500mtr mark IMPERIAL LANDING (App M.Allen) clipped the heels of MOVE FAST (G.Evans), Apprentice Allen informed the Stewards that her mount was racing very ungenerously and untrue at that point of the event.

RACE 2: CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1000mtrs
Trainer T.McMahon was issued a reprimand for failing to notify the rider of BARN DANCE by the prescribed time for this event. App M.Allen was the replacement rider for IN THE GUN when the declared rider App S.Smith became indisposed. LORD MALCHI (T.Williams) blundered from the barriers when the gates opened. Jockey T.Williams being the rider of the third placegetter LORD MALCHI, lodged a protest against BARN DANCE (App J.Dagan) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 100mtrs of the event. After hearing submissions from all parties involved and on the Stewards observations, the protest was dismissed and correct weight declared on the judges placing’s. At a subsequent inquiry App J.Dagan was issued with a reprimand for allowing his mount to shift outwards at the 100mtr mark and make contact with LORD MALCHI (T.Williams). Approaching the 100mtr mark LORD MALCHI (T.Williams) shifted outwards abruptly and hampered the running of BELLORN (C.Beets).

RACE 3: CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1400mtrs
POKER (C.Beets) was slow into stride when the gates opened.

RACE 4: CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1200MTRS
Stewards permitted Apprentice J.Dagan to be the replacement rider for SPIRIT HOUSE, when the declared rider Jockey T.Williams was excessively overweight and there was no other suitable rider available. Jockey Williams was issued a reprimand under the terms of Ar120(b) for accepting a ride when being unable to make the allotted weight.

RACE 5: SPECIAL CONDITIONS H'CAP – 1200mtrs
No incidents in running.

GENERAL REPORT:
Trainer K.Smyth was found guilty to a breach of Ar8(e) in that he failed to obey a direction issued to him by a Steward. Subsequently Mr Smyth was fined the sum of $100.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
