Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Passing the 200 metres, when hanging out, shifted ground and bumped PARIS CRYSTAL. When asked to comment on the performance rider A Allen stated the gelding was inclined to hang out for a major portion of the event and did not appreciate todays firm racing surface. A post-race veterinary examination of BOYLES revealed no abnormalities. Trainer S Henley stated the gelding may not have backed up from its most recent start at Randwick on January 2nd 2021 and it was now his intention to spell the horse.
