THE QUEENSLAND RACING CARNIVAL IS WHERE CHAMPIONS EMERGE

Long regarded as the ultimate launching pad to Group 1 success, the carnival reinforced that status again last spring through the rise of Autumn Boy and Half Yours on the national stage.

The ladies take centre stage on Oaks Day, with the $700,000 Group 1 feature proving a breeding ground for future champions.

One name stands above the rest on the honour roll, as a highly spruiked interstate filly named Winx made her way to the Sunshine State in 2015. 

Starting odds-on, the Queensland Oaks will be etched in history as the first of her 25 Group 1 victories, solidifying her status as one of the greatest of all time. 

In 2025, it was You Wahng who gave trainer Kris Lees his third win in the Queensland Oaks across two decades.
