Race 1: ARAMAC RTC CLASS B HANDICAP 800 METRES. 10 STARTERS.

1st - HOUNDING 2nd - STROMBOLI 3rd - SKINT 4th - BAG UP

SANGALLO (Shane Oates) broke out of the Barrier and had to be reloaded.
PRINCE OF SOUL (Rhett Bellert) tended to sit back in the Barrier requiring assistance from Barrier Attendant.
SNAP ATTACK (App.James Riordan) jumped awkwardly inconveniencing SANDOWNSTEPPE (David Rewald) at the start.
BAG UP (Rhonda Seymour) tended to hang out on the turn into the straight.


Race 2: ROAD TECH QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 METRES. 11 STARTERS.

1st - I'M NOT GUILTY 2nd - GALMAHARA 3rd - JON ROBIE 4th - GRACEFUL LAD

THE VICTA (Cheryl Rogers) jumped outward at the start inconveniencing GRACEFUL LAD (Ben Cornell) in doing so.
David Monaghan (GALMAHRA) was granted the opportunity to view the Photo Finish print prior to correct weight.


Race 3: ARAMAC TRAMWAY MUSEUM CLASS 3 PLATE 1000 METRES. 11 STARTERS.

1st - I'M A SEQUALO 2nd - HAGGIS 3rd - ZAMBUCCA MAGIC 4th - BIG JET (NZ)

SON OF WAR (Ben Cornell) jumped awkwardly inconveniencing IT'S IRONIC (Rhonda Seymour) at the start.
ZIPPER CLUB (Dot Slack-Smith) checked momentarily at about the 400M.mark as a result of being struck across the nose with a whip at that stage.

Race 4: JEFF DOLGNER OPEN HANDICAP 1200 METRES. 9 STARTERS

1st - EQUITANT 2nd - SAMURAI SPIRIT 3rd - DUSTY DANIEL 4th - BELLO GINA

SAMURAI SPIRIT (Ben Cornell) jumped awkwardly bumping EQUITANT (David Monaghan) out onto LEEARTO (Carmel Baker) at the start.
BELLO GINA (Rhett Bellert) was slow into stride.
EQUITANT (David Monaghan) tended to hang in in the straight.

Race 5: CRAIGLEA/RAHEEN/MARRS MATILDA HIGHWAY CLASS 6 PLATE 1400 METRES. 11 STARTERS.

1st - BILLIGABOO 2nd - FREE AS AIR 3rd - LEICANAVALANCHE 4th - MERRY PIERCE.

SKYROLLER and EVADING were late withdrawals due to no riders being available.
BARWON RIVER (NZ) (Rhonda Seymour) jumped outward inconveniencing LEICANAVALANCHE (App.James Riordan) at the start.
TAROT CARDS (Shane Oates) dropped out at about 500M.mark. When questioned Jockey Shane Oates stated that the gelding raced well to that stage but could not continue to keep up with the pace. This was noted by Stewards.


At the conclusion of racing Trainer Shane Iverson was further questioned in relation to the use of Darren Burgess as a Strapper at Longreach 26-04-2008. Stewards inquiry resulted in Trainer Shane Iverson being charged with a breach of LR43 for using an unlicensed Stable Hand. Shane Iverson was found guilty and fined $200.
