After taking evidence from both riders and viewing the film of the start the stewards held the opinion that neither horse was denied a fair start. As the gates opened SURREY GOLD (Ms. D Armstrong) jumped outwards, and CONSIGLIERE ( F Edwards) shifted in. AS a result SUPER SLIDER was tightened for room and lost ground.
