Race 1 Class 5 Handicap - 900 Metres – 8 Starters
R Graveson replaced by S Oates on SAHARA SILVER due to a delay on the way to the course. NASEIRO (Rodney Hammond) slowly away. MANNER PRINCESS (O Galea) jumped outwards. T Austin permitted to ride CYCLONE ALERT 2kg overweight.
Race 2 Open Handicap - 900 Metres – 7 Starters
CROWS BEFORE DAWN (R Graveson) slowly away. T Austin permitted to ride ARCHEE 2kg overweight.
Race 3 Super QRIS Maiden Handicap - 1050 Metres - 8 Starters
TOUCHED OF STARDUST dislodged T Austin on the way to the start. That horse was examined by the vet and took it’s place in the field. WILLOWIE MISS (C Baker) raced with its head in the air in the early stages. Brought to the attention of trainer S Iverson. WILL OF THE WIND (B Richardson) rolled in at about the 900m coming into contact with DOGON (R Bellert) B Richardson relieved the situation immediately. Approaching the 800m corner READY EDDIE (O Galea) shifted away from the fence slightly and in doing so momentarily inconvenienced DOGON (R Bellert). ESELTEE (T Richardson) shifted out sharply over the concluding stages but was quickly straightened and cause no inconvenience to any other runner.

Race 4 Class 2 Handicap – 1050 Metres- 7 Starters
T Richardson replaced by B Richardson on JOHN’S ROGUE when that rider indisposed. PRINCELY POWER (C Baker) climbed in the early stages and reluctant to take the 800m corner. Reported to trainer S Iverson.

Race 5 Matilda Highway Class 3 Handicap – 1300 Metres- 8 Starters
Trainer of BELLE JUDY, Pat Richardson, advised stewards prior to the race that B Richardson would not use the whip on that horse as it resents the whip. O Galea replaced by S Oates on LOCOMOTIVE when that rider indisposed.

Race 6 Merino Cup Open Handicap – 1400 Metres- 10 Starters
R Graveson fined $50 for adding gear to MAYNE LE SOBER after weighing out. AR118A
