J. Missen’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 5 meetings, to commence m/n 17th May and expire m/n 25th May.

Stewards questioned M. O’Brien rider of MISS TYPIN, regarding her riding of the mare in particular the reasons why she elected to race in a four deep position outside the leaders for the majority of the event. Ms O’Brien stated that she was mindful of her instructions to lead on the mare, however after riding forward and when unable to obtain the lead comfortably after runners had improved to her inside, she was forced to race wide and was reluctant to restrain and find a position with cover at that stage as it was a thousand metre event. Stewards noted the comments.
