STEWARDS REPORT CENTRAL WARREGO RACE CLUB 15th MAY 2004

Race 1: Shell Roadhouse Class 3 Plate 1400metres

SAUVETERRE stood flat footed as the gates opened losing considerable ground. Trainer J Peskett was advised that a warning was placed on the mare.
ADAM’S ANT and MALBERRY HILL came together on jumping.
Approaching the 1200 metres FERNY DESERT shifted out making contact with BAPTISM OF FIRE (NZ).

Race 2: Power Fuels Quilpie QTIS Maiden Plate 1000metres

CAPTAIN’S CHOICE was slow to begin.
MOSSMAN’S DAUGHTER jumped in at the start hampering WHYKICKME.
Near the 700 metres DANCING RED had to be steadied off the heels of MANSARD, which shifted in slightly.
Rounding the home turn KWILA BLACK hung out hampering WHYKICKME.

Race 3: Shell Driveway Class 6 Plate 1000metres

Apprentice E Hooper was fined $100 for failing to claim her full allowance on SUMI PRINCESS.
NIVEN jumped away awkwardly.
Trainer M Hicks was reprimanded for presenting NIVEN without a tongue-tie.

Race 4: Kerry Ruddle Electrical Class B Handicap 1200metres

As J Baker was to be overweight Steward permitted apprentice C Bryen to replace him as the rider of NUG’S PRIDE. J Baker was fined $200 under AR120(b).
Near the 900 metres SWELL KING shifted in resulting in OCTOSON(NZ) shifting in making contact with DISTINCT RHYTHM. Apprentice M Sano the rider of SWELL KING was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in.
Approaching the 800 metres OCTOSON(NZ) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SWELL KING which shifted in slightly.
Rounding the first turn KITSCH shifted out and had to be checked off the heels of POMPEII POWER.
IV'S CHANCE hung out rounding the home turn.

Race 5: Power Fuels Newmarket Handicap 1200metres

HARD TO PLEASE blundered on jumping almost dislodging its rider apprentice H Hamada.
ZEPHYR MAN raced wide in the early and middle stages.
Apprentice R Graham was fined $100 under AR145 for weighting in excess of ½ kilogram over his declared weight on BLAZE A FORTUNE.
