RE: Swab sample number 238336 (blood)
Trainer Raymond Frazer was found guilty of a charge under the terms of ARR 178
In that on the 23 September 2006 at the QUILPIE race meeting the gelding SAVANNAH ROAD was brought to the race course for the purpose of engaging in a race. At which following race 3 a swab sample taken from the gelding SAVANNAH ROAD contained the prohibited substance Phenylbutazone.
After hearing all submissions Trainer Raymond Frazer was fined $4000 and was notified of his appeal rights.
Stewards also took action under the terms of ARR177 and disqualified SAVANNAH ROAD from the QTIS Class 3 Plate (Race 3) on the programme of the Quilpie Race Club meeting and amended the placing to:
1st KIAP
2nd PANKKI
3rd BLUE OSIER
4th MALCHOW
5th COUNTY JACK

RACE1: CHARLEVILLE PHARMACY & WAGNER DOYLE GORDON MAIDEN PLATE 1200M

CHASIN’ A QUID jumped with its head in the air shifting out coming in contact with LOCO CABALLO which inturn hampered IT’S MY GOLD.

GOT THE POWER hung rounding the home turn losing considerable ground. Connections were advised the mare must pass barrier trial before the Stewards prior to its next start.

Jockey C Bumstead (IT’S MY GOLD) accidentally dropped her whip on straightening.

RACE 2: BEAUREPAIRES & DJ’S PRODUCE HANDICAP 1200M

ODANATA was slow away

CLASSIC WINNER blundered at the start shifted in coming in contact with FLYING KWILA

QUADRANGLE raced wide during the early and middle stages of the race.

CLASSIC WINNER whilst under pressure moved in and away from FLYING KWILA making contact with DYNAMIC DANCING.

RACE 3: FRANK CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL (QTIS ADDED STAKES) CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M

Jockey C Bryen replaced J Baker (MR. BOBCAT) who was indisposed for the day
A PAT FOR BOB was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 2.40pm. deductions were ($6.00)16cents and 14cents in the dollar. Connections were advised the gelding will require a veterinary certificate prior to it next start.

NEXT RED was slow away, then raced wide throughout returning to scale lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised the gelding will require a Veterinary certificate prior to it next start.

IN A SECOND raced wide throughout

MR. BOB CAT raced wide throughout

RACE 4: QUANTASLINK CLASS 6 PLATE 1000M

Jockey C Rogers (REVECHE) was found guilty of a charge of Careless Riding when her mount shifted out near the 100m causing CENTATEL (R Tilley) to be checked. Jockey Rogers was suspended from riding in races for a period of 6 meetings from midnight the 7 November 2006 up to and including 16 November 2006.

FREIGHTER jumped awkwardly.

RACE 5: COCA COLA AMATIL CLASS 3 PLATE 1400M

Jockey A Lane replaced J Baker (WATERFORD GLORY) as he was indisposed for the day.

PANKKI was slow away.

Rounding the 700m and the home turns LOVE AND GOLD was inclined to hang outwards due the bit being pulled through its mouth. Trainer M Hoyling was advised to exercise more care when saddling.

RACE 6: SOUTH WEST NISSAN CHARLEVILLE CUP HANDICAP 1620M

NICEOSS was slow away.

BATTLE AT SEA jumped out hampering RUSSIAN GUN which inturn hamper4ed SPINOUT.

Approaching the 250m POLISH WARRIOR was steadied of the heels of JUST DIFFERENT when attempting a questionable run to the inside.

When SPINOUT returned to scale it was found the saddle had slipped during running giving the rider a difficult ride over the concluding stages.
