Race 1: Worc Murweh Shire Council Maiden Plate - 1000m
1st - McCaskell 2nd – Teddy Pom Pom 3rd – Slide By Slide 4th – Bat Mobile

Connections of SLIDE BY SLIDE advised stewards that the horse would be ridden back in the field if circumstances permit.
MIHORSE was declared a late withdrawal at 1.40pm by the order of Stewards acting on the advice of the Starter that MIHORSE was unable to be loaded. Prior to the announcement of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on MIHORSE be refunded with the deduction of less 12c in the dollar on the face value of the win ticket and 11c in the dollar on the face value of the place ticket. Trainer B Sheppard was advised that MIHORSE would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to racing again.
ROCK OF TISANI(N Roebuck) and SLIDE BY SLIDE(D Monaghan) were slow to begin.
BILLABONG BOB(D Baker) raced wide throughout.
Race 2: Western Meat Exporters P/L Class B Handicap - 1000m
1st – Grey Skye 2nd – Our Day Will Come 3rd – Bread’N’Water 4th – El Hamma

EL HAMMA(R Tilly) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start MOLIXAAR(C Rogers) had to be steadied when NERANGATANG(R Bellert) shifted out taking OUR DAY WILL COME out onto MOLIXAAR.

GREY SKYE(S Sweedman) dip at the start and tendered to over- race leaving the 700m shifting out making contact with I’M NOT GUILTY(W Glass).

GOROKA(D Brown) and MOLIXAAR made the home turn wide.


Race 3: Wally Mclennan & John Flanarvan’s Open Handicap - 1000m
1st – Junk Bond 2nd - Deeceem 3rd - Stoutfast 4th – Tuscan Blaze

STOUTFAST(S Sweedman) jumped out at the start making contact with JUNK BOND(D Monaghan).

On pulling up ARGUNG KING(N Roebuck) blundered badly. A post race veterinary examination of ARGUNG KING revealed the gelding to have sustained injuries to the its near fore fetlock and was subsequently euthanise on humane grounds.

Race 4: Tony Facey Memorial Class 3 Plate - 1200m
1st – Air Bus 2nd – Beguiling Star 3rd – Pure Ebony 4th – Lucky Duke

LUCKY DUKE(N Roebuck) jumped out at the start making contact with SAINTES (D Baker).

SWOOPS(R Tilly) raced wide for the majority of the event.

PURE EBONY(C Rogers) made the home turn wide.

Race 5: Ross Iverson Memorial Open Handicap - 1600m
1st – Chief Inspector 2nd – Monte Power 3rd – Kimberley Dane 4th - Drumbeater

Connections of MONTE POWER advised stewards that the horse would be ridden closer to the lead if circumstances permit.

DRUMBEATER(R Cox) was slow into stride and made the home turn wide.
