RACE 1: DJ’S PRODUCE CLASS 3 PLATE 1400M–
1st –Lucky Duke 2nd –Air Bus 3rd -Elimination 4th -Dourado

DOURADO (R Cox) and WINNING SPECTRUM (B Thomson) were both slow to begin.

HURRI LOVE (A Lane) began awkwardly.

LUCKY DUKE (N Roebuck) over raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

AIR BUS (J Warrington) shifted in abruptly near the 1300m.

TESTATRIX (W Glass) raced wide for the majority of the event.


RACE 2:WAGNER DOYLE GORDON & CHARLEVILLE PHARMACY M’DN PLATE 1000M–
1st -Mollo 2nd -Mihorse 3rd –Hawaii Moon 4th -Skyield

SLIDE BY SLIDE (R Cox) began awkwardly.

FROGNAL (J Warrington) was slow to begin.

FROGNAL, KWILATYPE (N Roebuck) and MOLLO (A Lane) all raced wide for the majority of the event.

MOLLO hung out rounding the home turn.

RACE 3: WESTERN MEAT EXPORTERS P/L CLASS 4 H'CAP 1000M–
1st –Beguiling Star 2nd –Let There Be Rock 3rd -Littleboyboo 4th -Starman

EL COBAR (R Cox) was slow to begin.

FUEL’N’WATER (N Roebuck) began awkwardly

FUEL’N’WATER and DECANT (D Baker) both raced wide throughout.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of FUEL’N’WATER jockey N Roebuck stated that the gelding never really travelled during the run and as such felt gelding was disappointing today as it had worked well in the lead up to today’s race. Trainer S Iverson stated that in his opinion the gelding was not entirely suited by the sand racing surface but could offer no excuse for the gelding’s poor performance. S Iverson undertook to inform steward’s in the coming days if anything comes to light that may have effected the geldings performance

A post race Veterinary Inspection of FUEL’N’WATER failed to reveal any abnormalities.


RACE 4: BEAUREPAIRES& CHARLEVILLE CONCRETE OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st –Bang Clang Alang 2nd –Major Boyington 3rd –Gidyea Coals 4th-Northern Man

MAJOR BOYINGTON (R Cox) was hampered at the start between GIDYEA COALS (D Rewald) which jumped out and NORTHERN MAN (N Roebuck) which jumped in.

BANG CLANG ALANG (S Sweedman) and KING’S BEAUTY (W Glass) both raced wide for the majority of the event.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of JUNK BOND jockey D Monaghan stated that the gelding was not suited by not leading today’s event and furthermore was under pressure from the 600m. Jockey Monaghan further stated that JUNK BOND raced like a tired horse and may be looking for a spell. Trainer E Jonson agreed with jockey Monaghan’s statements and advised that JUNK BOND would more then likely be sent for a spell. Mr Jonson undertook to advise Stewards in the coming days if anything comes to light that may have effected the horses performance today.

A post race Veterinary Inspection of JUNK BOND failed to reveal any abnormalities.



RACE 5: FRANK CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL QTIS CLASS 1 H’CAP 1200M-
1st -Saintes 2nd Legal Fee 3rd Nkosi’s Haven 4th Pure Ebony

VONMARKNDUNC (D Brown) blundered badly on jumping away losing ground.

EL HAMMA (C Bryen) jumped in at the start hampering NKOSI’S HAVEN (A Lane).

PRINCESS TIJANA (R Tilley) commenced to hang out from the 800m.

Near the 500m, JE SUIS ROCKSTAR (D Monaghan) was tightened for room and forced to check when racing between PRINCESS TIJANA (R Tilley) which was hanging out badly and OUR DAY WILL COME (R Cox) which shifted in and away from PURE EBONY (W Glass). Stewards advised PRINCESS TIJANA’S trainer Mr R Frazer that the mare would be required to barrier trial prior to next start due to its poor racing manners.

Near the 500m, SAINTES (S Sweedman) was forced to ease when tightened for room by LEGAL FEE (J Warrington) which shifted out slightly. MARNI (B Thomson) which was following was also forced to ease as a result of this incident.

J Warrington was fined $400 for striking his mount with the whip in the forehand manner in consecutive strides prior to the 100m in race 3 as the rider of LET THERE BE ROCK and race 5 as the rider of LEGAL FEE.

RACE 6: SOUTH WEST FORD/CATTLE CAMP HOTEL/CELLABRATIONS CHARLEVILLE CUP OPEN H’CAP 1620M-
1st- Chief Inspector 2nd-Monte Power 3rd-Royal Chariot 4th-Degenda

Trainer R Sullivan was fined $50 for the late declaration of rider for SPANKYS LADDER.

MONTE POWER (D Monaghan) jumped with its head in the air.

KIMBERLEY DANE (N Roebuck) and THREE TENORS (R Tilley) brushed on jumping away.

SHALE SHAKER (B Thomson) which blundered shortly after the start was retired from the race a short distance later after its rider expressed concerns with the horse’s action. A Post race Veterinary Inspection of SHALE SHAKER failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will interview trainer C Pollard at a date to be fixed into SHALE SHAKER’S performance.

CHIEF INSPECTOR (S Sweedman) raced wide for the majority of the event.

POLISH WARRIOR (D Brown) raced wide during the early stages of the event.
