SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

From Cunnamulla 18-08-09

Stewards today concluded an inquiry into jockey R Tilley’s riding of MIDORI LAD over the concluding stages of Race 4 – Murrawondah Coban Poll & Merino Stud Class 4 H’Cap 1200m. After submitting evidence and viewing the Stewards patrol films Jockey Tilley pleaded guilty to a charge under Ar137(b) in that as the rider of MIDORI LAD he did fail to ride his mount out to the end of the race. Jockey Tilley’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period commencing midnight 3-10-09 to expire midnight 16-10-09. In considering penalty Stewards were of the belief that jockey Tilley’s actions cost his mount 2nd position.
