RACE: 1. Due to a printing error Jockey A Lane was shown in the race book as the rider of Mr. Tatters where as A Cowie was the rider declared. A Cowie who failed to arrive on course by the required time was replaced by S Shield. Stewards accepted A Cowie's explanation why he failed to arrive on course by the required time. Buccanette (R Goltz) which jumped awkwardly raced greenly in the early stages. Shortly after the start Condamine Belle (B Swanton) which was taken out by Lenny (L McCoy) made contact with Silver Shepherd (A Parramore). Beau Courage (G Geran) laid out in the middle stages whilst racing greenly. Buccanette laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Time off 12.05 PM.

RACE: 2. Trainer G Henderson was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for Vizier by the required time. Imported Prince (J Hoopert) was fractious in the barriers. Star Contract (A Gillett) which jumped out made contact with Furiousity (S Shield). Shortly after Furiousity was eased when Star Contract shifted out. Fiery Aspect (N Tomizawa) which jumped out made contact with Joedansam (L Morrison). Approaching the 900 meters Palace Moon (R Goltz) which shifted out made contact with Fiery Aspect. Near the 900 meters Measured Look (D Craven) and Cool Magi (G Geran) made contact. Leaving the 200 meters Star Contract (A Gillett) shifted out and made heavy contact with Furiousity. A Gillett was reminded of his responsibilities when his mounts are shifting ground. Time off 12.40 PM.

RACE: 3. Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer L Ross for the reason R Goltz did not appear in the race book as the rider of Random River. Random River (R Goltz) jumped out and across the running of Chantal Park (A Gillett) which was slowly away. Vivid Concept (R Morris) which refused to jump when the gates opened took no part in the race. Trainer T Sweeney was advised that Vivid Concept is required to Barrier Trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to starting again. Key To Dancing (G Geran) raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Halo Man (A Lane) shifted out abruptly on the home turn to obtain clear running. Leaving the 200 meters Chantal Park which was attempting to take a run between Key To Dancing and Crazy In Love (S Shield) blundered when clipping the heels of Crazy Of Love which was lying out. Crazy Of Love returned to scale with a laceration to the off hind. Coolangatta (A Cowie) and Halo Man brushed over the concluding stages. Time off 1.15 PM.

RACE: 4. Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer D Gafa for the reason J Hoopert did not appear in the race book as the rider of Escapes Me. At the start High Rewards (L McCoy) and Escapes Me were hampered between Petite Hanna (N Evans) which jumped out and Superior Knight (L Morrison). Time Off 1.50 PM.

RACE: 5. Budgie Longhorn (B Appo) jumped awkwardly. Looks A Lover (M Allen) which jumped out made contact with Arctic Runner (A Gould). Leaving the 900 meters Looks A Lover, which laid in, was steadied from the heels of Aspen Valley (S Katsidis). So Like Beau (S Apthorpe) laid out in the middle stages. Time off 2.25 PM.

RACE: 6. Trainer K Pattillo was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for Turf Tiger by the required time. Catainer (NZ) which failed to arrive on course by the required time was withdrawn by Stewards at 2.12 PM. Stewards will interview connections at a later date in relation to the gelding not arriving on course. Favourite Princess, which struck the gate as the mare left the parade yard, was inspected by the Vet on arriving at the barriers and was subsequently cleared to start. Our Bernie (S Katsidis) which jumped in made contact with Majikarl (P Wolfgram). Shortly after Majikarl was eased when Video Shot (A Parramore) shifted out. She's A Taan (A Gould) which jumped with its head in the air lost ground. She's A Taan which shifted inside the line of fence coming out of the chute was eased from the heels of Favourite Princess (A Gillett) as the field approached the running rail of the course proper. Time off 3.00 PM.

RACE: 7. Stewards accepted the explanation of Trainer R Lipp why the rider of Pocket My Pride was not declared by the required time. Fooling (G Colless) which jumped out made contact with Golden Eye (N Tomizawa). River Reach (B Swanton) and Pocket My Pride were slowly away. Cangaze (P Wolfgram) and Officer Material (A Parramore) made contact on jumping. Shortly after Officer Material was hampered between Cangaze and Forever Missed (N Evans) which shifted in. Leaving the 1000 meters Krulewski (J Stanley) and Gene's Interest (N Jolly) were crowded for room by Officer Material which was taken in by Phorous (J Byrne). Leaving the 800 meters Pocket My Pride was eased when crowded for room by Cangaze which was taken in momentarily by Narwong (S Katsidis). Approaching the 750 meters Krulewski was steadied when crowded for room by Gene's Interest, which was taken in by Phorious. Fooling laid out throughout. Time off 3.36 PM.

RACE: 8. At the start Passion Power (N Evans) was severely hampered by Magadi (A Gillett) which jumped out. Tanbridge (R Hancock) was slowly away. Motivate (J Byrne) which was standing awkwardly was very slowly away. Time off 4.15 PM.

RACE: 9. Due to a printer's error the rider for Stirling Red was not shown in the race book. Patti McGinty (S Shield) jumped in and across the running of Another Road (N Evans) which was slowly away. Stirling Red (R Kerwin) jumped with its head in the air losing ground. My Pal Bob (A Lane) and Allaben (R Goltz) were slowly away. Another Road which hung out leaving the home straight on the first occasion was eased from the heels of Sandy Sea (G Geran). Approaching the home turn Barbarians (S Katsidis) was momentarily held up for clear running behind River Zip (L Appo) which was tiring. Time off 4.50 PM.

All winners were swabbed.

12/03/01: Stewards interviewed connections into the reason Catainer had failed to arrive on course for the Dalby meeting on 11/03/01. Stewards subsequently established that the horse had been withdrawn on Thursday 8/03/01 and the scratching had been over looked when final scratchings were declared.
