RACE 1: MURRY’S TYRES & MORE CLASS B H’CAP 1400M-
1st- Ramani 2nd-Noela’s Romp 3rd-Mayalbe 4th-Media Tart

EN PISTE (C Bryen) jumped out at the start making contact with RAMANI (M O’Brien).

DOCTOR WIZZ (L McCoy) was crowded for room at the start by MAYABLE (A Smith) which jumped in.

Near the 800m, MEDIA TART (T Fujinuma) shifted in abruptly to avoid the heels of RAMANI and in doing so made contact with DOCTOR WIZZ.

SARS MARIO (A Taylor) shifted out to improve near the 600m and raced very wide from this point.

RAMANI shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

RACE 2: DES BURNS MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 1200M-
1ST-Let Her Loose 2nd-Hipersona 3rd-Margani 4th-Savage River

CATSUIT (J Letherby) was slow to begin.

RUNNING SOLO (S Wiseman) ICY BREEZE (S Egan) bumped on jumping away.

AUTHORITATIVE (C Maund) and MARGANI (A Smith) brushed on jumping away.

FREEMAN’S RUN (S Sweedman) jumped in at the start making contact with HIPERSONA (W Doyle).

When the pace steadied near the 700m, FOUND A TREASURE (B Thomson) and CATSUIT were forced to ease to avoid heels.

Near the 500m, EXQUISITE DIAMOND (B Richardson) shifted in resulting in FOUND A TREASURE which was racing to the inside, having to be eased after it commenced to race ungenerously for a short distance.

AUTHORITATIVE shifted out when place under heavy pressure over the concluding stages of the event.

RACE 3: DALBY ENGINE REBUILDERS QTIS 600 2Y0 PLATE 1000M-
1ST-Outback Phantom 2nd-Miss Leibert 3rd-Regency Royale 4th-Zaharm


Near the 200m, MISS LEIBERT (N Evans) shifted out brushing REGENCY ROYALE (K Yoshida).

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards considered a protest which was lodged by Jockey N Evans the rider of the 3rd placegetter MISS LEIBERT, against REGENCY ROYALE (K Yoshida) being declared the 2nd placegetter alleging interference over the final 100m of the event. After taking evidence from all parties and reviewing the Stewards patrol footage Stewards ruled that the interference suffered to MISS LEIBERT exceeded the head margin between the runners and therefore upheld the protest. Stewards ordered correct weight on the amended numbers of 3,7,4,8.

As Jockey K Yoshida was required to ride at another meeting an enquiry into this incident was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed.



RACE 4: DALBY PRICE RITE CARS QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1000M-
1st-Just a Piccolo 2nd-Winds of Fire 3rd-Sequalo Morn 4th-First Option

DON’T TELL RHONDA (K Ashton) was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards acting on Veterinary Advice after that runner reared over in the saddling enclosure dislodging its rider. Upon the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on DON’T TELL RHONDA be refunded with deductions of 4cents the win and 5 cent’s the place to apply to all successful bets.

Trainer D Johnson will be advised that a warning will be placed on DON’T TELL RHONDA and that he would be required to obtain a Veterinary Certificate prior to the mare next racing.

BANNETT (A Taylor) was slow to begin.

FIRST OPTION (M Abe) was hampered at the start by TOHOTFORU (S Sweedman) which jumped in.

WINDS OF FIRE (B Richardson) shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.


RACE 5: PETER & KAY HEWSON CANNONBALL FLYING OPEN H’CAP 1000M-
1st-Myndos 2nd-Zahbaj 3rd-Sleek Repeat 4th-Morcombe

ZAHBAJ (S Sweedman) shifted out when placed under pressure over the concluding stages of the event. App. Sweedman was reminded of his obligation to stop riding and straighten his mounts when shifting ground.

Near the 150m, MYNDOS (S Richardson) shifted in. MORCOMBE (A Smith) which was racing to the inside then shifted in and away from that runner and as a result was held up on the heels of ZAHBAJ. Jockey S Richardson and App. A Smith were both reminded of the obligations obligation to stop riding and straighten there mounts when shifting ground.
