SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS: Nil
GENERAL: Nil
Race 1: Coca-Cola Amatil Fillies &Mares OMW H’Cap - 1110m
Stewards considered an objection lodged by App T. Wolfgram the rider of BEACH BABE which finished 4th against MISS MEGA HERZ (App L. Tarrant) being declared 3rd on the grounds of alleged interference inside the final 100m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the available footage it was established that passing the 100m when BEACH BABE attempted to improve between NATURAL DANCER and MISS MEGA HERZ it shifted in towards the heels of MISS MEGA HERZ before being straightened by App Wolfgram. As stewards were of the opinion that although MISS MEGA HERZ shifted out slightly the majority of the shift came from BEACH BABE. The protest was subsequently dismissed and correct weight was declared on the numbers as semaphored. App T. Wolfgram was subsequently fined $200.00 for lodging a frivolous protest.
GREAT CHEER – Overraced in the early stages. Rider App B. Grylls was issued with a reprimand for shifting out near the 350m.
MISS ZIZOU – Had to be eased when tightened for room near the 350m.
ESPIRITU – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 2: Mount Franklin Fillies & Mares Class 6 H'Cap - 1350m
Stewards considered an objection lodged by App L. Tarrant the rider of GOTITALLWRONG which finished a dead heat for 4th against ZOOMANIA (App M. McGuren) being declared 2nd on the grounds of alleged interference near the 1100m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the available footage it was established that near the 1100m GOTITALLWRONG was bumped heavily by MOONLIGHT NOVA, after that runner was tightened for room by ZOOMANIA. Stewards could not be satisfied that this interference had a material affect on the placings when taking into account that the interference occurred after travelling a short distance, the subsequent settling position of both horses and the manner in which they both closed the race off. The objection was subsequently dismissed and correct weight was declared on the numbers as semaphored. At a subsequent inquiry it was established that App McGuren did allow ZOOMANIA to shift in slightly but when endeavouring to correct his mount he was unable to do so as MS BA BELLA was racing to his outside. Stewards were satisfied that App McGuren had not exhibited carelessness and took no further action.

Upon entering the track for Race 5 HAZARD BAY became fractious dislodging its rider G. Colless, resulting in jockey Colless sustaining facial injuries and having to be attended to by the ambulance officers before being transported to hospital. As a result there was a considerable delay of approximately 30 minutes. HAZARD BAY was declared a late scratching at 2.33 p.m. by order of stewards. All monies invested on HAZARD BAY were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and place-getters prior to 2.33 p.m.:
