SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Race 1: CONRAD TREASURY BRISBANE CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1600M
1st – Grand Lover 2nd – Hanalei Bay 3rd – Aidan James 4th – Initials

LISTEN PAL, which was lame in the near foreleg, was a late scratching at 11.42 a.m. on veterinary advice.

RUNOBIT (J. Bowditch) was slow to begin.

RADAR O'REILLY (S. Katsidis) stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.

SEVEN CROWNIES (G. Colless) and KING LATARMISS (B. Stewart) came together on jumping away.

Shortly after the start BRIGALOW SCRUB (R. Plumb) was tightened for room between SEVEN CROWNIES, which shifted out, and HELLO POSSUMS (B. El-Issa), which was taken in slightly by VALIANT DANE (C. Spry).

AIDAN JAMES (R. Mason) was caught wide in the early stages.

HELLO POSSUMS raced wide for the majority of the event.

Near the 250m GRAND LOVER (S. Seamer), which was inclined to lay in, shifted in and brushed SEVEN CROWNIES.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed BALLY DRAGON (K. Pope) to be suffering heat stress.

The track was upgraded to GOOD after the running of Race 1.

Race 2: BOXING DAY @ EAGLE FARM 3YO H'CAP – 1300M
1st – Single Rose 2nd – Vitruvian 3rd – My Son Day 4th – Katsidis

FOOLISH, which was unable to be loaded, was a late scratching at 12.59 p.m. On the announcement of correct weight, stewards ordered that all monies invested on FOOLISH be refunded, with deductions of 17 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 15 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets. Trainer M. Webb was advised that he must obtain a barrier certificate for FOOLISH before it races again.

THE BIG EASY (R. McMahon) was tightened on jumping away between GRECOLO (J. Bowditch) and MY SON DAY (B. Stewart), both of which shifted ground.

LA BELLE VITESSE (J. Taylor) jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start the saddle of SINGLE ROSE (B. El-Issa) shifted back.

Soon after the start KATSIDIS (S. Katsidis) shifted in and bumped VITRUVIAN (G. Colless).

THE BIG EASY was inclined to overrace in the early stages.

RASHINI (S. Seamer) was forced to race wide throughout the event.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed KATSIDIS to be suffering heat stress. Trainer D. Sutton was advised that prior to the horse's next start he must provide a full veterinary certificate of fitness including the results of an endoscopic examination.

Race 3: QRSE TOOHEYS EXTRA DRY C.E. MCDOUGALL STAKES – 1200M
1st – Tantra 2nd – Gold Edition 3rd – Bella Heart 4th – Angel Girl

Near the 1000m BELLA HEART (S. Katsidis) and FEMMEBOT (J. Taylor) were placed in restricted room between OLNISTTO (J. Holder) and ANGEL GIRL (D. Ballard) which shifted out.

After passing the 800m SHE SURE CLANG (S. Galloway) commenced to overrace and had to be checked off the heels of BELLA HEART and shifted out hampering EMMATAY LANE (P. Hammersley).

DANCE WARS (M. Rice) and FEMMEBOT were forced to race wide for the majority of the event.

FEMMEBOT made the 600m crossing awkwardly.

Near the 300m DANCE WARS had to be momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of BELLA HEART which shifted out to improve.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed GOLD EDITION (G. Lynch) to be suffering heat stress.

The Club's veterinary surgeon reported that ANGEL GIRL sustained a laceration to the off hind fetlock.

Race 4: QRSE CENTRO TOOMBUL J.F. MEYNINK STAKES – 1200M
1st – Way Off 2nd – Mel 3rd – Master Archie 4th – Cole Trickle

BLOOD PILL (J. Bowditch) was tightened on jumping away between COLE TRICKLE (J. Taylor) and MR BACHELOR (S. Katsidis) which shifted out.

SPECIAL OFFER (S. King) jumped in at the start and brushed PATRIOTS DAY (B. Stewart).

After jumping away SPECIAL OFFER attempted to buck.

Approaching the 1100m PATRIOTS DAY was buffeted for room between BALBORA (P. Hammersley) and SPECIAL OFFER which was taken in slightly by MASTER ARCHIE (B. El-Issa) which was inclined to shift in and away from ORMONDE (J. Holder). In this incident PATRIOTS DAY lost its position.

When questioned regarding the performance of SPECIAL OFFER, S. King stated that he had a good run throughout and when placed under pressure the horse failed to respond to his riding. A veterinary examination of SPECIAL OFFER revealed no abnormalities.

WAY OFF lost its off hind plate in running.

Race 5: GALLIPOLI RESEARCH FOUNDATION CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1200M
1st – A Little Naughty 2nd – Cupboard 3rd – Stars O' Gold 4th – Tornado Alley

SPINARDO (J. Warrington) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

Approaching the 1000m WALTZ TO GLORY (J. Taylor), which was overracing, shifted out and had to be checked off the heels of NOW AND THEN (B. El-Issa). OCTANEE (B. Pengelly), which was following, was hampered as a consequence.

Approaching the 600m LEATHER (R. Mason) had to be steadied off the heels of A LITTLE NAUGHTY (G. Colless).

Approaching the winning post WILD COLONIAL GIRL (N. Jolly) was held up for clear running.

Race 6: QRSE SKYY BLUE JUST NOW F&M H'CAP – 1300M
1st – Strawberry Malt 2nd – Shysu 3rd – Love And Money 4th – Silk And Money

Trainer M. Smith was fined $100 under LR. 70 for failing to declare P. Hammersley as the rider of SLEEPLESSINSEATTLE by the prescribed time.

CIANARA (M. Rice), MIRACLE QUEEN (N. Jolly) and HAPPIER (T. Pannell) were all slow to begin.

After passing the 1100m PERSUADES (J. Bowditch) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LOVE AND MONEY (G. Colless). BAVOSA (S. Galloway) and LYN'S MONEY (M. Carson), which were following, also had to be steadied. G. Colless was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

S. Katsidis, the rider of SHYSU, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that near the 1100m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of STRAWBERRY MALT (S. Seamer), resulting in STRAWBERRY MALT being taken in across the rightful running of MIRA DANCER (J. Taylor), causing MIRA DANCER to lose its position. S. Katsidis's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on Thursday, 22 December, and expire at midnight on Monday, 2 January 2006. In addition, a fine of $1,000 was also imposed.

Leaving the 1000m DENISE'S DIAMOND (B. Stewart) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of STRAWBERRY MALT which shifted in. COUNTESS BATHORY (J. Holder), which was following, had to be steadied as a consequence. S. Seamer was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

MIRA DANCER and SERENOTE (R. Mason) were obliged to race wide for the majority of the event.

Near the 200m HAPPIER had to alter course off the heels of MIRA DANCER to obtain clear running, and near the 150m was momentarily impeded by COUNTESS BATHORY which shifted in.

Race 7: QRSE SMARTLINE HOME LOANS H'CAP – 1600M
1st – High Academy 2nd – Zauberei 3rd – Champion Star 4th – Willy Leica

MOTIVATE (S. Katsidis) was obliged to race wide for the majority of the event.

Approaching the 600m WILLY LEICA (G. Colless) ran up on to the heels of SIMPLY VIV (J. Bowditch) and had to be steadied.

CEFFYL (K. Pope) was held up for clear running in the early stages of the straight.

Near the winning post SCENIC WELLS (J. Warrington) had to be steadied when tightened for room between WILLY LEICA and HIGH ACADEMY (B. Stewart), which shifted out under pressure.

ZAUBEREI lost its off hind plate in running.

The Club's veterinary surgeon reported that REGENT STREET was showing signs of slight respiratory distress following the event. Trainer D. Forster was advised that prior to the gelding's next start she must produce the results of an endoscopic examination.

Race 8: QTC MEMBERS 2MW LY H'CAP – 1200M
1st – Amex 2nd – Princess Margaret 3rd – Nessuno 4th – Mitanni

G. Colless, the rider of FLEET BARON, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that near the 1000m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of POWER AND GOLD (M. Cahill), which was taken in and across the rightful running of NESSUNO (B. Pengelly), which had to be checked and lost its position. POWER AND GOLD was then inclined to overrace for a short distance. G. Colless's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence immediately and expire at midnight on Friday, 30 December 2005.

After passing the 800m FLEET BARON (G. Colless), which was inclined to lay out, had to be steadied off the heels of ALGORITHM (B. El-Issa). POWER AND GOLD (M. Cahill) and MITANNI (S. Katsidis), which were following, were obliged to shift wider to avoid that horse's heels. MITANNI was then obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event.

GRANDWAY SHOGUN (J. Bowditch) was obliged to race wide for the majority of the event.

SOVEREIGN EXPRESS (J. Holder) had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the straight.

GATOR (T. Pannell) and SANDY RIVER (M. Rice) had to alter course approaching the 300m to obtaining clear running.

After passing the 200m GATOR was inclined to lay in, placing its rider at some disadvantage for the remainder of the event.

When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of FLEET BARON, G. Colless stated that after passing the 1000m the gelding was inclined to lay out and did so until shortly after straightening, however failed to respond to his riding in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of FLEET BARON revealed no abnormalities.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed MITANNI to be suffering from heat stress.

A post-race veterinary examination of GATOR revealed no abnormalities.
