WEATHER –Fine TRACK – Good
RACE 1 CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1000 METRES (5 STARTERS)
Upon pulling up following the running of the event SILVER AZURE (J Baker) threw its head striking Jockey James Baker in the vicinity of the chest. Jockey Baker then dismounted from his mount and the Clerk Of The Course returned the horse to the enclosure.
RACE 2: CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1000 METRES (7 STARTERS)
As the start was affected TURIN (J Baker) dwelt and then raced awkwardly for the early stages of the event. On returning to scale it was evident NAMALLI (G Bell) had bled from both nostrils. This was confirmed by the clubs Vetinary Surgeon. Trainer Glenda Bell was informed that the horse is now barred from racing for a period of 3 months under the terms of ARR53A in that is was the horse’s first bleeding attack.
RACE 3: CLASS 3 H'CAP - 1300 METRES (8 STARTERS)
No incidents in running.
RACE 4: OPEN H'CAP – 1400 METRES (7 STARTERS)
As the start was affected FLYING FEATHERS (N Coyne) jumped away awkwardly.
SIR SOON (J Baker) stood flat-footed and missed the start considerably.
RACE 5: CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1200 METRES (6 STARTERS)
It was reported by Jockey G Bell the rider of STORM CALL that her mount was hampered at the 400metre mark where POVERTY ROAD (J Baker) improved its position in the field.
