Race 1: SPORTSPOWER EMERALD MAIDEN PLATE 1000M:
1st – Lets Go Bongo 2nd – Myffanwys Angel 3rd – Naval Hero 4th – No Fault of Mine

Stewards accepted the reason tendered by Trainer Mr J. Marlow for the late declaration of K. Mizobe as the rider of LETS GO BONGO.

Trainer C. Smith was fined the sum of $50 for presenting OZI MARY with incorrect gear.

ROSIE’S EDITION (D. Evans) was slow to begin.

At the start, SOLAR ROAN (M. Cant) jumped out making contact with NAVAL HERO (App A. Butler).

Near the 100m, OVER PRICED LAWYER (App A. Taylor) shifted out and made contact with TWISTER (C. Beets).

PUZZLED (J. Robertson) raced wide for the majority of the event.


Race 2: EMERALD COACHES QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1000M:
1st – Scotch Grey 2nd – Leaving Home 3rd – Love Snack 4th – Cashupnotick

The start of this race was delayed when NATURAL ENERGY (T. Bannon) was reluctant to proceed to the barriers.

The start of the race was further delayed when ARSANG became fractious in the barriers. ARSANG was vetted and passed fit to start.

As the start was effected NATURAL ENERGY reared and as a result dislodged T. Bannon. Trainer T. Cook was advised that NATURAL ENERGY must pass an official jump out prior to racing again.

Near the 200m, LEAVING HOME (App A. Taylor) was disappointed for a run between LOVE SNACK (C. Beets) and SCOTCH GREY (R. Hall) which shifted in slightly. LEAVING HOME was then held up for clear running until passing the 50m.

Near the winning post, SCOTCH GREY (R. Hall) shifted out making contact with LEAVING HOME (App A. Taylor).

ADMIRAL’S AMANTE (D. Evans) raced wide for the majority of the event.



Race 3: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY RACING BEEF & COAL CLASS 6 PLATE 1000M:
1st – True General 2nd – Two Shinko’s 3rd – Crystal Moss 4th – Monotop


At the start, IRON BRIDGE (J. Kehoe) blundered and shifted in making contact with SNAGAPOT (App L. Dillon).

Near the 800m, IRON BRIDGE (J. Kehoe) and SNAGAPOT (App L. Dillon) were steadied when tightened for room between BIRDELLA (R. Hall) which was taken out slightly by MONOTOP (App A. Taylor) and LOOSE UNIT (J. Robertson) which shifted in. J. Robertson was reprimanded.

CRYSTAL MOSS (M. Cullen) raced wide for the majority of the event.



Race 4: EMERALD REAL ESTATE OPEN HANDICAP 1200M:
1st – Danzig Warrior 2nd – Samurai Spirit 3rd – Wharton Willie 4th – Jyi’s Prospect

At the start, FLEET THE BONGO (R. Hall) jumped in resulting in WHARTON WILLIE (W. Bell) striking the heels of FLEET THE BONGO and losing ground.

WHARTON WILLIE (W. Bell) raced wide during the early and middle stages of the event.

ROCK OF MUFASA (J. Stephens) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 5: MINERVA JOINT VENTURE CLASS B HANDICAP 1300M:
1st – Valley Moon 2nd – Bread’n’Water 3rd – Skybender 4th – Innocent Flyer

HOLYFIELD (App L. Dillon) was slow to begin.

Over the final 50m, VALLEY MOON (D. Evans) shifted out under pressure.

Near the 50m, MAGIC CLANG (App A. Taylor) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SKYBENDER (R. Hall) which shifted out. R. Hall was reprimanded.

INNOCENT FLYER (D. Missen) and EASY HARMONY (J. Kehoe) both raced wide throughout the event.

A post race veterinary examination of HOLYFIELD revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer T. Austin will be advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to HOLYFIELD racing again.

Race 6: BMA GREGORY CRINUM EMERALD CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1635M:
1st – Degenda 2nd – Bangtail 3rd –Dini Who 4th – Power’n’Water


Near the 1500m, DINI WHO raced in restricted room to the inside of SCUDERIA which was taken in by DEGENDA (App A. Taylor).

CELLULAR (App K. Mizobe) raced wide in the early stages of the event.

SCUDERIA (R. Kerwin) raced wide during the early and middle stages of the event.
