Race 1: The Dome Prime Minister’s Cup Class 3 Book Now – 1000m
1st – Single Bound 2nd – Patties Mate 3rd – Wireless 4th - Kingsfield

KINGSFIELD (C Whiteley), CUBAN DANCER (C Small) and ALLROAR (N Day) were all slow to begin.

ALLROAR raced wide throughout the event.

WIRELESS (K Purdy) laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.

When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of ALLROAR, Jockey N Day stated in his opinion the horse failed to handle the heavy track. A post-race veterinary examination of ALLROAR revealed no abnormalities.

Race 2: wwwgoldocast bookmakers.com Colts, Geldings & Entires Maiden 1300m.
1st – Iron Fist 2nd – A Diamond 3rd – Zhay Nay Rahl 4th - Nassavette

Trainer M Eggleston was advised that a warning would be placed on the barrier manners of IRON FIST (App. L Rolls) which proved difficult to load.

NASSAVETTE (C Small) jumped out at the start and made contact with the hindquarters of TIC TOC TIGER (M Heagney).

SCULL (D Tanti) jumped away awkwardly resulting in Jockey Tanti making contact with the near side partition. Subsequent to the event Jockey Tanti was examined by the club’s doctor and passed fit to fulfil his further riding engagements.

SCULL and ZHAY NAY RAHL (J W Moon) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 3: Searles Garden Products Fillies and Mares Maiden H’cap – 1300m.
1st – Simple Stuff 2nd – Mille Miglia 3rd – Room Two Sister 4th – Flash of Silk

Stewards intend to question Trainer P Gillman regarding his failure to scratch SEVENSPANISHANGELS by the prescribed time.

Shortly after the start MILLE MIGLIA (App. T Chambers) shifted out tightening the running of ELLA CINDERS (D Tanti).

MILLE MIGLIA and ELLA CINDERS over-raced in the early stages.

Making the 800m MILLE MIGLIA which continued to over-race improved up on to the heels of WITCHES CHASE (N Day) and shifted out making contact with the hindquarters of TENNIS BRACELET (App. L Rolls). A short distance later MILLE MIGLIA then shifted in and made contact with ROOM TWO SISTER (D Griffin).

As post-race veterinary examination of STAR SUPREME (M Morris) which finished a distance last failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 4: Peter Laird Bookmaking In Memory of Lloyd Little QTIS 2YO Maiden H’cap – 900m.
1st – My Opinion 2nd – Queen of Asia 3rd – Worthy Friend 4th – Rowland Princess

QUEEN OF ASIA which slipped over in the parade ring was examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.

Shortly after the start HONOUR GUARD (App. G Butler), KLAKA (D Tanti) and MISS LARKSPUR (L Cheshire) had to be checked when tightened for room between ROWLAND PRINCESS (P Holmes) which shifted in after initially being taken in by MY OPINION (M Traecey) which jumped away awkwardly and KANEFIRE (C Eaton) which was taken out by RAPID TRICIA (D Griffin).

COUNT FERGUS (D Barron) commenced to hang in shortly after the start and near the 800m shifted in abruptly away from QUEEN OF ASIA (C Whiteley). A short distance later COUNT FERGUS commenced to hang out and did so for the remainder of the event. Trainer B Bowditch was advised that a warning would be placed on COUNT FERGUS’ racing manners.

HONOUR GUARD shifted out when placed under pressure in the early stages of the straight.

Race 5: Automotive Financial Services Class 2 H’cap – 1400m.
1st – Harry’s Choice 2nd – Aussie Sunset 3rd – High Dee 4th – Red Abernant

Trainer D Duryea was fined the sum of $100 for failing to declare a rider for GAVASKAR by the prescribed time.

FULL TIDE (C Whiteley) and HARRY’S CHOICE (M Heagney) were slow to begin.

HARRY’S CHOICE raced wide in the early and middle stages and was held up for clear running for some distance passing the 400m.

When questioned regarding the performance of FULL TIDE, Jockey C Whiteley stated in his opinion the horse failed to handle the track conditions today. A post-race veterinary examination of FULL TIME failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 6: Gardenway Home & Garden Class 4 H’cap – 1400m.
1st – Fissile 2nd – Golders Road 3rd – Little Imp 4th – Father Dex

GOLDERS ROAD (L Cheshire) blundered on jumping away.

FISSILE (C Whiteley) was tightened for room shortly after the start between ASKEW (D Griffin) and LUNA PRIDE (N Day) which was taken out by LAURIE’S LAD (App. G Butler).

Jockey D Griffin reported that ASKEW failed to handle the heavy track today. A post-race veterinary examination of ASKEW failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 7: Thoroughbred Club of Australia Class 2 H’cap – 1800m.
1st – Welsh Descent 2nd – Bless You Darby 3rd – True Cross 4th – Invincible Power

HARAM (App. L Rolls) was slow to begin.

Leaving the 100m HARAM shifted out under pressure and had to be steadied off the heels of COMMANDER LOVE (D Tanti).

Race 8: Con Searle Bookmaker Class 1 H’cap – 1200m.
1st – Kryptelon 2nd – Shotime 3rd - Innocenzio 4th - Dardan

Jockey Patrick Holmes the rider of DARDAN was reprimanded for weighing out with incorrect gear.

INNOCENZIO (App. L Rolls) raced wide throughout.

Near the 700m SNACKMAN (N Day) shifted in off the heels of MARRIEDTOAPRINCE (D Tanti) and made contact with KRYPTELON (App. T Chambers).

Jockey N Day reported that SNACKMAN failed to handle the heavy track today.

A post-race veterinary examination of MARRIEDTOAPRINCE revealed the filly to be exhibiting pain in the upper suspensory ligaments of both fore legs. The connections were advised that they must obtain a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness prior to its next race start.
