HOTONE (Jky S Galvin) and MAXCEE (Jky J Murphy) were slowly away
Approaching the 400mtr mark TUSCAN WARRIOR (Jky R Hancock) has shifted out resulting in MAXCEE (Jky J Murphy) having to ease momentariaily. Jky R Hancock was instructed to exercise care in future race rides
The winner SAINT CRUSADER was swabbed.

Race 2 RSL SOCIAL SNOOKER CLUB QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1465MTRS

SPECIAL SOUND (Jky J Murphy) jumped away awkwardly resulting in JEDI STARFIGHTER (App A Badger) being tighten between SPECIAL SOUND and JOGGLES (App S Mossman) and losing ground.
Rounding the home turn CRY ME A RIVER (Jky R Hancock) began to shift out and at the 150mtr was pulled up. When questioned regarding this incident Jky Hancock stated the filly was very awkward in its action and he believed the filly had bleed. CRY ME A RIVER was inspected by the Club Vet who informed Stewards at the time of inspection no abnormalities could be detected. The Club Vet also informed Stewards the filly had a normal heart beat. The Trainer of CRY ME A RIVER, Mr I Livingstone was instructed the filly must pass an official barrier trial before starting again. Mr Livingstone was further instructed to advise Stewards any problem that may have any bearing regarding the filly action at todays meeting.

Race 3 RSL SOCIAL BOWLS & SOCILA DARTS CLUBS CLASS 4 HCP 1150MTRS

LUKE (Jky M Heagney), BRONZE WARRIOR (Jky D Van Bekkum) and SWEETMANDY (App G Brown) were slowly away.
SWEETMANDY (App G Brown) raced wide through out the race.
Stewards questioned App A Badger regarding the run of LEED. App Badger stated the mare resented sand being thrown back and did not stretch. Stewards noted this explanation as this was the first time the mare has raced on a sand surface.

The winner LUKE was swabbed.

Race 4 GYMPIE RSL SUB-BRANCH CLASS 4 HCP 1000MTRS
(1)Mr MONTGROMERY (2) COOL FUR (3) STAR OF MINTO (4) PONT D’AVIGNON

CHARDONAIR (App A Badger) was reluctant to enter the barriers holding up the start. Trainer Mr S Thomas was instructed the mare was banned from race until it successfully passes a Jump-Out.

Race 5 GYMPIE RSL CLUB CUP OPEN HCP 1465MTRS
(1)LORD CLINTON (2) ZAROUK (3) SEEKAWINNER (4) LACKADOSH

Shortly after passing the winning post the first ocassion Jky D Van Bekkum the rider of CROWN PRINCE eased momentarially . An inquiry was held into this incident where it was found App M Hughes the ZAROUK has shifted in tightening LACKADOSH (App K Cunningham in onto CROWN PRINCE. App M Hughes was reprimanded and instructed to exercise more care in future race rides.
