1st – Shamrock Slipper 2nd – Mountain Promise 3rd – Perfect Glory 4th - Abbalac

Apprentice S. Arnold was fined $300 for failing to claim his full allowance on MAFIA PRINCESS. In assessing penalty, stewards took into account S. Arnolds poor record regarding breaches of this rule.

MAFIA PRINCESS (S. Arnold), HEART OF AYLA (D. Robinson) and SHAMROCK SLIPPER (A. Holt) were slow to begin.

PORT RAIDER (A. Kitson) began awkwardly.

Leaving the 400m, SHAMROCK SLIPPER shifted in and made contact with the running rail.

ABBALAC (T. Harrison) had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight and near the 200m had to be eased to avoid the heels of ROUBLE ROSE (B. Richardson), which shifted in marginally.

After passing the 200m, SHAMROCK SLIPPER shifted out and bumped PERFECT GLORY (D. Griffin).

LILLABELLE (A. Spinks) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages and near the 100m inconvenienced ROUBLE ROSE.

ROSE OF CLARE (A. Allen) and JET STAR BABY (K. Yoshida) raced wide throughout.

He advised that BOREHOLE began well today and travelled well throughout the race. A.
