RACE 1. (QRIS) MAIDEN HANDICAP of 1120 METRES. 11 STARTERS,
BELLA'S DELIGHT (A Williams) was fractious at the Barriers, broke away from attendants and was subsequently withdrawn by Stewards. ROSES IN MOONLIGHT (Mark Barbarisms was slow to begin. Blood sample collected from winner and sent for analysis.
RACE 2. (QRIS) MAIDEN HANDICAP of 1120 METRES. 8 STARTERS.
RUSTY REGAL and BOLTON ROSE were late scratchings due to non arrival at Track. Course announcements failed to locate connections. MAYHEM LAD (App.Lee Attard) lost ground at the start as a result of coming into contact with AUTHENTIC MAN (Mark Barnham) when leaving the Barrier. Stewards inquiry into an incident at about the 150M.mark when MAYHEM, LAD (App.Lee Attard) shifted in onto CHARIOT NOTE (A Williams) resulted in App Lee Attard being cautioned by Stewards to maintain control of his Mount at all times. Blood sample collected from winner and sent for analysis.
RACE 3. CLASS 2 HANDICAP of 800 METRES. II STARTERS.
SLOW COAT (David Jones) shifted out onto LOY'S LOVE (App.Lee Attard) on jumping. CHEEKY BOGGY (P Williams) shifted out on jumping, tightening VAIN CARLEY (Bill Binder) and BAY BEAUTY (Mark Barnham) on its outside. BROWN BOMBER (Bill Bell) shifted in on jumping making heavy contact with TANGO PRINCE (Russell Pujolas) on its inside. TANGO PRINCE (Russell Pujolas) lost considerable ground as a result of pressure from both sides, Stewards inquiry into the incidents resulted in a general caution to all riders involved to maintain control of Mounts at all times. Blood sample collected from winner from winner and sent for analysis.
RACE 4. CLASS 4 HANDICAP of 1400 METRES. 9 STARTERS.
Trainer Bernadette Williams fined $50 failing to produce Document of Description "Junichi"
Trainer L Manzelmann (OURIMBAH) was directed by Stewards to adjust Cross over nose band to Stewards satisfaction. TOP MOVE (Roy Mules) hung out badly throughout the early stages of race causing difficulties controlling the gelding. Blood sample collected from winner and sent for analysis.
RACE 5. CLASS 6 HANDICAP of 1120 METRES. 9 STARTERS. ANOTHER SOUTHERN (Denis Cash) was unruly in Mounting Yard dislodging rider. WHEELAWAY (Roy Mules) slipped on jumping losing ground. Blood sample collected from winner and sent for analysis.
RACE 6. HANDICAP of 1550 METRES. 7 STARTERS. No incidents. Blood sample collected from winner and sent for analysis.
GENERAL. At about 2.OOPM Stewards became aware that no Trained/Compelent operator was available to operate the Photo Finish equipment. This practice is not acceptable and must be given priority at all future Meetings.
