STEWARDS REPORT – SATURDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2001

STEWARDS:.G. WUST (CHAIRMAN), D. DELFORCE, G. SCOTT (CADET)
WEATHER: FINE TRACK: LOAM

RACE 1 MAIDEN HCP. 1000 METRES (5 STARTERS):.SWAPPED and AGILE GREY were fractious in the barriers.

AGILE GREY was slow into stride and shifted outwards sharply on jumping.

PRIDE OF CASS was obliged to ease slightly at approximately the 700 metres as a result of SWAPPED rolling in marginally.

RACE 2 CLASS 4 HCP. 1000 METRES (6 STARTERS):.HOST was slow into stride and was tightened between BANTU and MR. DANIELS.

RACE 3 OPEN HCP. 1000 METRES (6 STARTERS): No incidents to report.

RACE 4 CLASS 4 HCP. 1850 METRES (6 STARTERS):. WONDERFUL TO SEE jumped outwards and hampered GLENBOLT.

RACE 5 CLASS 2 HCP.1200 METRES (8 STARTERS):. SOLAR COUNTY jumped outwards and hampered SPEEDY COUNT and PAMPAS BULL.

SPEEDY COUNT layed inwards at approximately the 100 metres and had to be eased off the heels of SOLAR COUNT. DAGWORTH had to be steadied shortly before the line as a result of THE NEXT HORSE shifting outwards marginally under pressure.

RACE 6 CLASS 5 HCP. 1200 METRES (11 STARTERS): ZEROBAC brushed the fence at approximately the 700 metres.

BOOKMAKERS: (4) bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.

SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and those samples collected were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
