OAKLEY AMATEUR PICNIC RACE CLUB INC STEWARDS REPORT FRIDAY 07/05/04. (DAY 1)STEWARDS PANEL: R.C.SMITH (Chairman), Ms M.STEHBENS. WEATHER - FINE, - TRACK, - Dirt), FAST – NO RUNNING RAIL., Flag Starts in all races. Veterinary Surgeon. Dr. J.HILL. RACE 1 WESTCOTT MAIDEN PLATE- W.F.A. 800 Metres. 3 starters. Yamado (M.OATES) was slow into stride on the start being effected. RACE 2: COLEMAN STOCKFEED RESTRICTED TROPHY 2 – W.F.A. 800 Metres. 6 starters. Pretty Nice (W.MITCHELL) was slow into stride on the start being effected. RACE 3: WILSON,RYAN & GROSE KOOROORINYA CUP of 2004. OPEN – W.F.A. 1400 Metres. 9 starters. Off Broadway was examined by Veterinary Surgeon Dr. J. HILL after the trainer advised the horse had suffered a small abrasion and bruising to the front offside heel about a week ago. Dr. HILL advised that Off Broadway was fit to take its place in the field. Superwalk (M. HARRIS) lost considerable ground at the start. RACE 4: PARRY NISSAN BANGLE OPEN – W.F.A. 800 Metres. 7 Starters Little Cowboy (Ms N. HARRIMAN) was slow into stride at the start. RACE 5:.HAYDON LIVESTOCK HAULAGE OPEN – W.F.A. 1000 Metres. 9 Starters. Delshin (R.HICK) and Mints (R.EVERETT) were both slow to begin on the start being effected. RACE 6: ROBINSON CATERING SERVICES RESTRICTED TROPHY –4 – W.F.A. 1000 Metres. 5 Starters. Rue Bijou (W.MITCHELL) was slow to begin on the start being effected.RACE 7: MURRAY EARTHMOVING RESTRICTED TROPH 3 – W.F.A. 1200 Metres. 6 Starters. Malareb (M.OATES) lost considerable ground at the start. GENERAL. The start of Race one was delayed for some fifty minutes owing to late arrival of the Ambulance from Hughenden and then having to treat a person on course after their arrival. All prizes in the form of trophies –Winners were not swabbed. No bookmaker operated at this meeting. Non T.A.B. Meeting. All horses engaged in the two day meeting were kept under close observations by Veterinary Surgeon Dr. J.HILL during the two day meeting.
