As C. Isdale, was unable to attend today’s meeting due to transportation difficulties he was replaced as per steward’s summary.

Race 1: HARCOURTS ROCKHAMPTON BRISBANE BLOODSTOCK 2YO H’CAP – 1000M
1st – ASPIRAN 2nd – INSPECTOR LEE 3rd – CANNYCLIMB 4th – PASHIONATELY YOURS

INSPECTOR LEA (App J. Wood) began awkwardly.

WESTERN WARRIOR (L. Brown) and WHATA STORM (G. Auckram) were both tightened for room at the start between PASHIONATELY YOURS (App T. Chambers) and ASPIRAN (S. Quick) both of which shifted ground.

MY MARGARITA (App L. Dillon) jumped out at the start forcing LAILUI (N. Day) wider.

DEO JUVANTE (App A. Coome) commenced to over race for a short distance near the 700m and had to be steadied.

PASHIONATELY YOURS (App T. Chambers) became unbalanced near the 500m and shifted out making contact with MY MARGARITA (App L. Dillon).

WESTERN WARRIOR (L. Brown) improved onto the heels of MY MARGARITA (App L. Dillon) approaching the 200m and shifted out.

Race 2: PETER CONAGHAN ELECTRICAL MAIDEN H’CAP (1) – 1000M
1st – WANNSEE KNIGHT 2nd – MIGHTY MALOUVER 3rd – CLASSY LANI 4th – HASARUSH

PRECIOUS RING was declared a late scratching at 11.53am by order of steward’s acting on veterinary advice after the horse was found to be lame in its off hind leg. J. Pointon, the trainer of PRECIOUS RING, was advised that he must supply a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to the horse being permitted to start in a barrier trial or race. As betting on this advent had not commenced no deductions were applicable.

The start was delayed when BELLARA GOLD (App K. Pedron) took fright from movement in the barriers and broke through the front of the barriers. After being quickly restrained and examined by the by the clubs veterinary surgeon BELLARA GOLD was cleared to start.

CLASSY LANI (G. Baker) and IRIANA LAD (C. Whiteley) were both slow to begin.

SATIN DREAM (App T. Chambers) was tightened for room at the start between CONFUSE THEM (App A. Coome) and BELARA GOLD (App K. Pedron) both of which shifted ground.

CONFUSE THEM (App A. Coome) had to be steadied near the 750m when racing in restricted room between FEATHERSWILLFLY (L. Brown) which commenced to race ungenerously and shifted out and HASARUSH (G. Auckram) which shifted in. G. Auckram, the rider of HASARUSH was advised to exercise more care.

ADAM NOT EVE (K. Wharton) which raced wide for the majority of the race commenced to hang out leaving the 600m and shifted wider. C. Dore, the trainer of ADAM NOT EVE, was advised a warning would be placed on that horse’s racing manners.

SUDDEN LIKE (App J. Wood) had to be steadied near the 700m when crowded for room by WESTERN CHAT (N. Day) which shifted in.

Race 3: XXXX GOLD MAIDEN H’CAP (2) – 1000M
1st – JADE CARVER 2nd – MARTIROS 3rd – OTTO’S DELIGHT 4th – CRAIGLEA KATE

The start was delayed when FOUR FRIENDS FOLLY (D. Hayes) was declared a late scratching at 12.50pm after breaking through the front of the barriers riderless and completing a circuit of the course. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on FOUR FRIENDS FOLLY were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 2 cents in the dollar on the face value of win and place bets to be applicable. J. Sigvart, the trainer of that horse was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the gelding before the horse would be permitted to race again. D. Hayes was examined by the clubs ambulance officers following the event and was stood down from his remaining rides. D. Hayes was advised that he must provide a medical clearance before his next race riding engagement. Replacements were made as per stewards riding summery.

ROYAL DEBUTANTE (App J. Wood) jumped out at the start making contact with LORD CIRDEC (L. Cheshire).

CRAIGLEA KATE (A. Pattillo) jumped out at the start making contact with CRAZY BUT COOL (C. Beets) which slow to begin.

PAGEN’S FORTUNE (J. Stephens) jumped in at the start making contact with EASY HARMONY (App T. Bannon).

JADE CARVER (K. Wharton) shifted out on jumping away making contact with REGAL RUBY (S. Quick).

LORD CIRDEC (L. Cheshire) had to be steadied near the 900m when racing in restricted room between ROYAL DEBUTANTE (App J. Wood) and MARTIROS (N. Day) which shifted in.

YOU ARE MY LADY (G. Auckram) began to over race leaving the 700m and had to steadied off the heels LORD CIRDEC (L. Cheshire).

CRAZY BUT COOL (C. Beets) commenced to over race near the 500m and had to be steadied off the heels of CRAIGLEA KATE (A. Pattillo).

ROYAL DEBUTANTE (App J. Wood) had to be restrained near the 450m when attempting a narrow to the inside of CRAIGLEA KATE (A. Pattillo) where doubtful room existed.

CRAIGLEA KATE (A. Pattillo) shifted out abruptly near the 200m to improve and doing so brushed YOU ARE MY LADY (G. Auckram) which as a result also shifted out abruptly.

PAGEN’S FORTUNE (J. Stephens) and BLUE PEREGRINE (App L. Dillon) both raced wide for the majority of the race.

A. Pattillo was examined by the clubs ambulance officers following the event and was cleared to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.

Race 4: RIVERSIDE STUD/MARECHAL QTIS CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – CYCLONE LARRY 2nd – TOWER BRIDGE 3rd – CANNY KELL 4th – CHANTAMOUR

C. Whiteley, who was dually booked due to a misunderstanding, was replaced as the rider of TOWER BRIDGE by G. Auckram.

A. Stephens, the trainer of JUST LIKE SEAGAL, was fined the sum of $50.00 AR140 A in that she presented that runner with its incorrect gear.

The start was delayed when KOKONINA (L. Cheshire) was unable to be loaded and was declared a late scratching at 1.28pm. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on KOKONINA were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 13 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 12 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable to successful wagers made prior to 1.28pm. T. Cook, the trainer of that horse was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the gelding before the horse would be permitted to race again.

PARDON THE PUN (R. Hall) was tightened for room at the start between JUST LIKE SEAGAL (N. Day) and CYCLONE LARRY (G. Baker) both of which shifted ground.

GOLD STATEGY (J. Stephens), MAROCKET (L. Brown) and CANNY KELL (C. Beets) were all tightened for room at the start between CRAIGLEA SYMPHONY (App J. Wood) which jumped out and CHANTAMOUR (C. Whiteley) which jumped in.

PARDON THE PUN (R. Hall), JUST LIKE SEAGAL (N. Day) and GOLD STATEGY (J. Stephens) all raced in restricted room leaving the 900m and near the 800m PARDON THE PUN commenced to over race and had to checked off the heels of CYCLONE LARRY (G. Baker) and as a result shifted in tightening the running of JUST LIKE SEAGAL which had to be restrained, GOLD STRATEGY, then shifted out making contact with CHANTAMOUR (C. Whiteley) which shifted in when crowded for room by SIXTY MINUTES (App L. Dillon) which shifted in momentarily. CANNY KELL (C. Beets) which was following was inconvenienced as a consequence and shifted out hampering both BOLD BID (App T. Bannon) and VIE AGRO (K. Wharton). As stewards were of the opinion no blame could attributed to any one rider no further action was taken.

Race 5: THRIFTY CAR RENTAL CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – EMBRACING 2nd – DANCING SAILOR 3rd – KING’S VALOUR 4th – REQUEST THIS

Apprentice J. Wood, was permitted to replace senior rider D. Hayse as the rider of GORDON’S TIME as no senior rider was available.

AUDACIOUS (L. Cheshire)was slow to begin.

EMBRACING (C. Whiteley) had difficulties in obtaining clear running from the 450m until leaving the 200m.

MASSIAH (L. Brown), SURROUNDER (K. Wharton) and ALL THAT CASH (C. Beets) all raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 6: G J GARDNER HOMES CLASS 6 PLATE – 1000M
1st – WEST GINDIAN 2nd – GIRLS JEUNEY 3rd – PRINCE LEO 4th – ENGINEER

The saddle of FINE SEAS shifted en-rout to the barriers causing that runner to re-saddled.

FORTY EIGHT CRASH (N. Day) and ANDY’S SHADOW (J. Stephens) both began awkwardly.

GIRLS JEUNEY (App T. Chambers) shifted in near the 700m causing WEST GINDIAN (L. Brown) to be steadied. CARNABY SPRINGS (App K. Pedron) which was racing to the inside of WEST GINDIAN was also inconvenienced and was steadied as a result. T. Chambers, the rider of GIRLS JEUNEY, was advised to show far greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

FINE SEAS (K. Wharton) became unbalanced near the 600m and had to be steadied.

FORTY EIGHT CRASH (N. Day) had difficulties in obtaining clear running from leaving the 300m until near the winning post.

WEST GINDIAN (L. Brown) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

FINE SEAS (K. Wharton), CONSIDER YOURSELF (A. Pattillo) and SUBSEQUENCE (S. Quick) all raced wide for the majority of the event.
Race 7: THE COFFEE CLUB HOUSE LUXURY APARTMENTS H’CAP – 1100M
1st – KING HUNTER 2nd – KALINGA COUNTY 3rd – DANWANA 4th – SUNTANNED

QUICK REACTION (App K. Pedron) faltered near the 750m and was retired from the race. DREAMS OF WEALTH (App T. Bannon) which was following was hampered as a consequence. As a result of injuries received QUICK REACTION was euthanized on humane grounds.

Apprentice L. Dillon, was distressed following the race and was stood down by the clubs ambulance officers. L. Dillon was advised that he must provide a medical clearance before his next race riding engagement. L. Dillon was replaced as per steward’s summary.

Race 8: SUN PALMS HOTEL/MOTEL CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1600M
1st – FOUR AMIGOS 2nd – LION BRAVE 3rd – SESEMANN 4th – ROYAL LIONNE

The start was delayed when CRAIGLEA PEARL (A. Pattillo) was declared a late scratching at 3.53pm after breaking through the front of the barriers riderless and completing a circuit of the course. Subsequent to the event all monies invested on CRAIGLEA PEARL were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 19 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 16 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable to successful wagers made prior to 3.53pm. Stable representative Mr S. Johnston for trainer J. Herriot was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the mare before the horse would be permitted to race again.

FOUR AMIGOS (C. Whiteley), GODS RIVAL (K. Wharton) and DARBINGA (G. Auckram) were all tightened for room at the start between ANERA (App K. Pedron) which jumped out and LION BRAVE (N. Day) which jumped in.

A. Pattillo was examined by the clubs ambulance officers following the event and was stood down from his remaining ride. A. Pattillo was advised that he must provide a medical clearance before his next race riding engagement.

A post race veterinary examination of ANERA, which finished tailed off revealed the horse to be lame in both front legs. W. Pomfrett, the trainer of ANERA, was advised that he must obtain a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to the horse being permitted to race or barrier trial.

Race 9: DIPLOCK’S COLLISSION REPAIR CENTRE CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – STUFF UP 2nd – DODGE BALL 3rd – NATURAL ENERGY 4th – TANTIC POSER

A. Pattillo who was indisposed was replaced by C. Beets as the rider of EVADING.

The start was delayed when a buckle on the bridle of DONALD VICTOR broke and had to be replaced behind the barriers.

CARRY THE BRAVE (N. Day) and DODGE BALL (G. Baker) were slow to begin.

CRUISER LOSER (J. Stephens) was slow into stride.

CARRY THE BRAVE (N. Day) threw its head in the air and shifted out near the 800m when being restrained off the heels of IMPULSIVE PARTNERS (C. Whiteley).
NATURAL ENERGY (App T. Bannon) made contact with DODGE BALL (G. Baker) when attempting to shift out around the heels of STUFF UP (App K. Pedron) near the 300m.

IMPULSIVE PARTNERS (C. Whiteley) had difficulties in obtaining clear running from the 400m until near the 100m.

TANTIC POSER (S. Quick) raced wide for the majority of the race.

A post race veterinary examination of CRUISER LOSER failed to reveal any abnormalities.
