Race 1: Diplocks Collision Repair Centre Maiden Plate - 1300 metres
1st ELKALATO 2nd RUTHIE'S DREAM 3rd FANTASTIC EIGHT 4th - LITTLE DAZZLER

Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Jockey J. P. Stanley for his dual engagement for CRAIGLEA NOVA and RUTHIE'S DREAM. Jockey D. McWhinney was substituted as the rider for CRAIGLEA NOVA.

LITTLE DAZZLER (A. Coome) began very awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contct with CRAIGLEA NOVA (D. McCullum), which lost ground as a consequence.

In the early and middle stages OUR CON ARTIST (D. Evans) over-raced.

Near the 850 metres ELKALATO (C. Whiteley) had to be steadied from the heels of JACKSON MAGIC (App. K. Gates), which shifted in. App. Gates was severely reprimanded and reminded of her obligation to ensure that she is clear of other runners before shifting ground.

At about the 600 metres OUR CON ARTIST had to be steadied when attempting a run to the inside of FANTASTIC EIGHT (A. Lawrence) where there was insufficient room.

In the straight OUR CON ARTIST had difficulty obtain clear running until at a point near the 200 metres.

Jockey D. Evans was questioned regarding his tactics on OUR CON ARTIST, in particular in the home straight. Jockey Evans stated that when he attempted to shift out to improve leaving the 400 metres, FANTASTIC EIGHT (A. Lawrence) shifted out at the same time. Jockey Evans added that the gelding was inclined to lay out for some distance thereafter. Jockey Evans said further that near the 200 metres he shifted back to the inside of FANTASTIC EIGHT to obtain clear running. Stewards also questioned Jockey Evans as to the reason he failed to ride his mount out to the finish. Jockey Evans explained that in his opinion OUR CON ARTIST had reached the end of its run. Stewards noted the explanations, however Jockey Evans was reminded of his obligation to ensure that his riding is not left open to questioning. Furthermore, Jockey Evans was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts right out to the finish.

BRADY (App. S. Fawke) raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Procare Rehabilitation/ Tim Swan Electrical E&G Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st WICKENBY 2nd NISEKO GOLD 3rd BOSS HUSSLER 4th - MANTRAS

LATIN KING (App. K. Gates) was slow to begin.

On two occasions over the final 150 metres NISEKO GOLD (S. McGovern) shifted out, placing Jockey McGovern at a disadvantage in riding his mount out.

Race 3: Healthy Horses Open Handicap - 1100 metres
1st HODGIE AND MO 2nd DINERO RAPIDO 3rd WRITER 4th - MOICHEIA

RED STORY (App. S. Fawke) and GUILIETTA (J. P. Stanley) were both slow into stride.

WRITER (App. A. Kitson) had to be steadied from heels at the 900 metres.

GUILIETTA lost its off hind plate in running.

Race 4: Best Western on Regency Class 3 Plate - 1500 metres
1st VANDALISED 2nd CASINO BENJO 3rd KING RAY 4th - FORTZA

ROFRANOZ (A. Coome) blundered on jumping and lost ground, resulting in Jockey Coome losing the use of his off side iron.

In the early stages DANE FIRE (App. S. Fawke) raced wide.

Near the 350 metres CASINO BENJO (D. Hayse) shifted out and brushed VANDALISED (B. Stewart).

Jockey M. Usher was reprimanded under A.R.137(b) for failing to ride FORTZA out to the finish.

Race 5: Ray White Rockhampton City BM 75 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st BANNER 2nd THE SHOOTER 3rd POWER TO EXCEED 4th - SWING AND SING

ROCCIN JO (App. A. Kitson) was slow to begin.

PRINCELY (D. Evans) was slow into stride. A post-race veterinary examination of PRINCELY did not reveal any abnormalities.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the running and handling of PRINCELY, in particular leaving the 600 metres. The inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed.

Race 6: Cambridge Hotel Motel QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1050 metres
1st DORSAL FIN 2nd HIDDEN NATURE 3rd CRAIGLEA FIESTA 4th - DENIS THE DUDE

Prior to Race 1 connections advised stewards that Jockey A. Coome will be instructed to ride DORSAL FIN off the speed, if circumstances permit. Public announcements were made to that effect. The filly was ridden in a forward position.

MIGHTY SAVANNAH (L. Dillon) and DENIS THE DUDE (App. S. Fawke) were slow into stride.

For some distance near the 850 metres DENIS THE DUDE commenced to over-race on the heels of HIDDEN NATURE (D. Hayse) and had to be steadied.

CRAIGLEA FIESTA (D. Simmons), DAM FLASH (S. McGovern), MIGHTY SAVANNAH and MYSTERY CHARGER (App. K. Gates) raced wide throughout.

Jockey S. Evans, the rider of I'M DESPERATE TOO, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 850 metres she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of CRAIGLEA CELICA (J. P. Stanley), which was severely checked. Jockey S. Evans was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 2 meetings, to commence at midnight on 14th November 2013 up to and including midnight on 21st November 2013.

Jockey S. McGovern was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 500 metres when riding DAM FLASH along with the whip he permitted that gelding to shift in, forcing CRAIGLEA CELICA inwards and across the running of MIGHTY SAVANNAH, which had to be steadied. Jockey McGovern was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 3 meetings, to commence at midnight on 16th November 2013 up to and including midnight on 28th November 2013.

Race 7: XXXX Gold F&M Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st HALLE MCOLLYWILL 2nd SWEET TABOO 3rd ROSE OF MAYHEM 4th - HOLY SPRING

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey A. Coome, the rider of HOLY SPRING which finished 4th, to view the official photo finish. Having done so, Jockey Coome was satisfied with the judge's placings and stewards declared correct weight.

A post-race veterinary examination of HALLE MCOLLYWILL revealed that the mare was lame in the near fore leg.Trainer Mr A. McLaughlin was advised that he must furnish a veterinary clearance for HALLE MCCOLLYWILL before it races again.

ELAY PRINCESS (App. S. Fawke) blundered on jumping.

ZAYNA (D. Hayse) began awkwardly and shifted out.

SWEET TABOO (L. Dillon) began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped SHADOW PUPPET (J. P. Stanley).

ELAY PRINCESS and DAVANNA (App. A. Kitson) raced wide throughout.

Jockey A. Lawrence pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 50 metres he permitted LICK 'EM LOLLY to shift in under hard riding and tighten the running of EDGEROI (App. K. Gates), which had to be steadied. Jockey Lawrence was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 3 meetings, to commence at midnight on 16th November 2013 up to and including midnight on 28th November 2013.
