RACE 1: CLUB HOTEL MOTEL / BOTTLE TREE BRUSH TOURS MAIDEN H’CAP 900M.
Big Steve jumped outward as Restoration jumped inward hampering Man Over Board. Restoration shifted in under pressure in the straight. Time off 1.34pm.
RACE 2: WISHING WELL MOTEL / MAJELLA’S RESTAURANT & BAR / JOY’S CURTAIN CORNER CLASS 5 H’CAP 1000M.
Sovereign Empire dipped on jumping and lost ground. Jockey S Apthorpe (Hula’s Treasure) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding when his mount shifted inward at approx the 400m causing A Dollar (J Baker) to check. Jockey Apthorpe was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 30/3/02 up to and including the 10/4/02 (7 meetings). On returning to scale it was found that A Dollar had received a laceration to the near/side foreleg (Veterinary examination). Time off 2.15pm.
RACE 3: CRAICLEA STUD SUPER QRIS TWO YEAR-OLD MAIDEN H’CAP 1000M.
For The Mist jumped awkwardly lost ground. Earlstoun Miss was slow into stride. On returning to scale Warning Switch it was found that the filly had sustained an injury to the near/side foreleg (Veterinary examination). Time off 2.57pm.
RACE 4: XXX SOVEREIGN EASTER CUP 1200M.
Medium Sky hung out on the 1000m turn throwing its head in the air forcing Chief Dahar and Noodoo wide, then continued to race ungenerously until the 800m. Connections were advised the gelding must pass an official barrier trial prior to its next start. Mont Vue Dawn raced wide rounding the home turn. Time off 3.35pm.
RACE 5: ROMA SHOWCASE JEWELLERS OPEN H’CAP 900M.
Joyagirl was slow into stride. Nasa Royale hung out for the entire journey, warning. Time off 4.15pm.
RACE 6: OVERLANDER HOMESTEAD MOTEL / STARLIGHT MOTOR INN CLASS 2 H’CAP 900M.
