SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Bookmaker D Power pleaded guilty to a charge under LR118A in that he was found, whilst fielding, to be in possession of an apparatus, namely a laptop computer, capable of receiving or transmitting information, which has not been approved in accordance with the rules. Mr Power was fined the sum of $500; however, acting under LR36 (h) stewards suspended the fine for a period of 12 months on the proviso Mr Power does not re-offend during that period.

RACE 1: XXXX GOLD CLASS 3 H’CAP - 1000M
1st – San Phillipe 2nd – Sritinya 3rd – Empire Line 4th – Dane Display

As no replacement rider was available A Ware (EMPIRE LINE) was permitted to ride +1/2kg. A Ware was subsequently fined the sum of $200.

Connections of INTADANE, which momentarily attempted to buck shortly after the start, that a warning would be placed on that gelding.

A Ware (EMPIRE LINE) lost her nearside iron on jumping away placing her at a disadvantage for the first 200m of the event until she was able to regain the iron.

DANCING BABY raced wide throughout.

RACE 2: CRIME STOPPERS MAIDEN PLATE - 900M
1st – Zoe’s Lass 2nd – Beneficence 3rd – Champagnebar 4th – Targinnie Gold

TOBONDI (C Isdale), which refused to make its way to the barriers, was declared a late at 2:15pm. On declaration of correct weight the following deductions were ordered all monies invested on TOBONDI to be refunded and all successful tickets less 12c for the win and 14c for the place. Connections of TOBONDI were advised that the filly would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to next start.

GOT THE POWER (C Rogers), which was slow to begin, was tightened for room and lost ground at the start between JANES VICTORY (A Ware) and TARGINNIE GOLD (C Bryen), which was taken out by ZOE’S LASS (A Lane), which jumped away awkwardly.
RACE 3: XXXX GOLD MAIDEN PLATE 900M
1st – Verge of Discovery 2nd – Dane Sahara 3rd – Wack 4th – See You Slater

Connections of BLAZE A CROSSING (A Lane), which was considerably slow to begin, were advised that the filly would be required to pass a further barrier certificate prior to next start.

When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of VERGE OF DISCOVERY trainer B Waldron stated that the gelding had raced very greenly at its previous start and that following a spell, had matured and had been working very well. He further stated that, in his opinion, today’s event was a step down in class from the horses’ last start. Explanation noted.

RACE 4: LEANNE GOODWIN MEMORIAL CLASS B H’CAP 1200M
1st – Flare Up 2nd – Sandstorm 3rd – Prince Antibes 4th – Little Skipper

FLARE UP and SANDSTORM were both slow to begin.

FLARE UP hung out throughout.

RACE 5: CRIME STOPPERS CLASS 5 H’CAP - 1200M
1st – Roller Drum 2nd – It’s Volcanic 3rd – Robert’s Reward 4th – Blue Cougar

Connections of ROBERT’S REWARD, which pulled up lame in the off fore leg, were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required for the gelding prior to next start.
