RACE 1
YALUMBA WINES HANDICAP 1200 metres
Approaching the 700 metres CHARVILLA improved up on to the heels of ROADSPY and had to be steadied.
Both BAAL YABBA and SLY TYCOON laid out making the home turn.
RACE 2
CALOUNDRA RSL HANDICAP 1200 metres
Acting on Veterinary advice SABAI SABAI was declared a late scratching at 1.08pm after the gelding had become fractious in the barriers.
On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on SABAI SABAI were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 20c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 21c in the dollar on the face value of place bets on all wages placed above the line.
Trainer Bruce Brown was advised that a warning has been placed on SABAI SABAI regarding its barrier manners.
NELLIE DE AIR and COSMIC BANDIT were both slow to begin.
When being restrained after passing the 900 metres COSMIC BANDIT was inclined to throw its head in the air on several occasions.
RACE 3
WIN TELEVISION HANDICAP 1600 metres
Trainer Stuart Kendrick was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare a rider for PLAN by the required time.
The start was delayed when CROFTSIDE PARK sprung its off fore plate and required farrier attention.
GLENTARKIE, PLAN and CROFTSIDE PARK were all slow to begin.
Both ROYAL SEA and GLENTARKIE pulled hard in the early and middle stages of the event.
J. Taylor rider of ROYAL SEA accidentally dropped his whip at the top of the straight.
Approaching the 200 metres CROFTSIDE PARK shifted in to improve and made contact with GLENTARKIE.
Over the concluding stages CROFTSIDE PARK improved up on to the heels of ROYAL SEA and had to be steadied.
RACE 4
XXXX HANDICAP 1000 metres
SIMPLE SIMON jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with DANEHILL STAR.
BUCK WHAN jumped away awkwardly.

DUEL FUEL and GRACIOUS ERA were both slow to begin.
After passing the 600 metres FOCUSED improved up on to the heels of DUEL FUEL and had to be steadied.
Trainer Paul Jones was advised that HENRY THE FRUITBAT which bled during the event, will now incur the mandatory three months ban from racing.
RACE 5
LA PROMENADE HANDICAP 1400 metres
ULTIMATUM was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the event and passed fit to start.
ULTIMATUM was slow to begin.
NANJING was forced to race wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
Rounding the home turn NANJING had to be steadied off the heels of LORD COOLAWIN which shifted out to improve.
In the early stages of the straight OAKLEIGH BOY was inclined to hang in under pressure and near the 300 metres WESTERN ARMI had to be steadied off the heels of that gelding.
RACE 6
TRANQUIL PARK HANDICAP 1400 metres
Shortly after the start ICE PATROL had to be steadied off the heels of MIGHTY EEL which shifted out slightly.
RACE 7
THE MOORINGS HANDICAP 1000 metres
ROBBITE was slow to begin.
LADENDA jumped away awkwardly.
KRULEWSKI and REAL FORCE made contact on jumping away.
RACE 8
NEIL MANSELL LANDSCAPING HANDICAP 1800 metres
Trainer Eric Singh was advised a warning has been placed on JHANSI KI RANI which was difficult to load.
SPRUCED UP blundered on jumping away.
DAINTY raced fiercely in the early stages of the event.
After passing the 1400 metres SPRUCED UP had to be steadied off the heels of ESCAPES ME which shifted out.
All winners plus HENRY THE FRUITBAT (Race 4) were swabbed.
