ADMIRAL SEA (J. Piper) jumped in the air at the start.

GIVEMECHILLS (K. Cunningham) jumped away awkwardly.

LETHAL INTENT (L. Dittman) shifted in shortly after the start and bumped ZEBAKWE (K. Yoshida).

Leaving the 700m, PROHIBITION LASS (D. Griffin) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of ADMIRAL SEA (J. Piper), which was racing greenly.

ROWLAND PRINCESS (K. Pope) brushed the running rail approaching the 500m.

Also near the 500m, SANDMINER (D. Barron) shifted in and had to be steadied away from the heels of ZEBAKWE (K. Yoshida).

Passing the 300m, CHA CHA MAN (G. Colless) shifted out to improve and brushed SANDMINER, forcing it wider.

LEMARAC LASS (A. Pattillo) was tightened for room on jumping away between BONZA BRONZE (L. Dittman), which shifted out slightly, and HONOUR GUARD (N. Thomas), which was taken in by COUNT FERGUS (D. Barron).

A short distance later, LEMARAC LASS (A. Pattillo) was taken out by BONZA BRONZE (L. Dittman) and forced on to the hind quarters of HONOUR GUARD, which had to be checked off the heels of COUNT FERGUS.

LIGHTS IMAGE (E. Wilkinson) was slow to begin.

Near the 400m, LEMARAC LASS (A. Pattillo) was tightened for room by KANEFIRE (A. Spinks), which was taken in by DALANI (K. Patrick) when that horse had a tendency to lay in and away from BONZA BRONZE. K. Patrick, rider of DALANI, was severely reprimanded.

A post-race veterinary examination of LEMARAC LASS revealed the filly to be lame in the near foreleg.

The veterinary surgeon also reported that DALANI was suffering from slight colic subsequent to the event.

Morris) shifted out off the heels of ARTISTIC CURRENCY (C. Whiteley), forcing CREATED (M. Hughes) momentarily wider on the track.

PUSHY BLONDE (R. Wiggins) was inclined to shift ground under pressure after leaving the 250m.

IDYLLIC DANEHILL (K. Cunningham) and WELBY (D. Barron) raced wide throughout.

PUSHY BLOND lost its near fore plate in running.

Race 4: Woombye Pub Maiden Plate - 1200m,

WISHENDA was inclined to pull hard at the heels of TRUTHFUL (L. Dittman) for some distance in the middle stages.

FASDEHERE, which raced wide, raced greenly particularly around the home turn where the gelding was inclined to hang out, and near the 200m when being tested with the whip, shifted in, inconveniencing AIRESS (D. Barron).

On the point of straightening, ORIENTATION (G. Colless), when shifting out to improve, made contact with SIMPLE OBSESSION (K. Pope).

Close to the finish line, BELLA HERITAGE (D. Griffin) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of WISHENDA (A. Spinks).

ATLANTIC LIGHT (E. Wilkinson), FASDEHERE (G. Palmer) and SIMPLE OBSESSION (K. Pope) raced wide for the majority of the event.

R. Wiggins, rider of PERRI LOU, was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts right out to the finish.

SWEET OPINION (C. Whiteley) was obliged to race wide throughout.

Stewards inquired into the disappointing performance of PINELOPE, which after being caught wide ran home only fairly in the straight. Jockey B. El-Issa stated that the horse was inclined to hang out in the early stages of the race, however between the 1000m and home turn the PINELOPE did not travel well and he felt that it may have got its tongue over the bit. He added that PINELOPE did not finish the race off as expected, and felt that the mare may be improved with a tongue-tie. Trainer L. Ross agreed that the performance today was disappointing and undertook to experiment with a tongue-tie. A post-race veterinary examination of PINELOPE revealed some soreness in the off fore fetlock.
