SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

As jockey’s J Welburn and apprentice P Randall were indisposed they were replaced as per steward’s summary sheet.

Due to a power failure prior to the running of Race 2, correct weight was declared on the judges numbers and a manual weigh in was conducted for Race 2, and weigh out for Race 3.

Race 1: MINERVA MINE CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – NITELOCH 2nd – SAN PHILLIPE 3rd – MURPHY’S REPLY 4th – NEVEREND

SAN PHILLIPE (M Evans) raced in restricted room to the inside of NITLOCH (W Morris) near the 700m for short distance. W Morris, the rider of NITLOCH, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

SAN PHILLIPE (M Evans) shifted in near the 200m making contact with NEVEREND (R Mules).

Race 2: FRED NOFFKE REAL ESTATE & FOUREX MAIDEN PLATE S/W – 1100M.
1st – M’LORD MALLEE 2nd – MOLTAR 3rd – FLOYD PEPPER 4th – SIMPLE JUSTICE

BOLIVIA was declared a late scratching at 1.55pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on BOLIVIA were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 13 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 12 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable on all successful wagers placed prior to 1.55pm. R Meek, the trainer of BOLIVIA, was advised a must obtain a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to the mares next race start.

KINGSLEY (N Evans) was slow to begin.

ZERO SPEED LIMIT (App E Hooper) which was slow to begin was further hampered by FLOUD PEPPER (J Stephens) which jumped out at the start.

Race 3: HARRIS HOULIHAN & HOLZWART CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – YUKON LAD 2nd – MY VIEW 3rd – MAUDIE KATE 4th – BRAVE YOUTH

BIG BAZZA was declared a late scratching at 2.20pm due to no rider being available.

VEILS DOUBLE (S Quick) was slow to begin.

BRAVE YOUTH (R Mules) began awkwardly.

ANOTHER OPINION (J Stephens) raced wide in the early stages.

Both POLISH BEN (App E Hooper) and CAUGHT A YABBIE (N Evans) raced wide for the majority of the event.


Race 4: CRAIGLEA/RAHEEN/MINLACOWIE DR’MASTER/PALMADAY/
MARR’S BEEF & COAL CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1300M.
1st – WAY HOME 2nd – STRATEGIC WIN 3rd – HASTINGS AVENUE 4th –

SPY CHASE (M Barnham) jumped outwards at the start and then race wide for the majority of the race.

LOVE AND HONOUR (J Stephens) was momentarily crowded for room over the concluding stages between BOLD PHARAOH (A Robertson) which shifted out slightly and WILLY’S PRIDE (M Evans) which shifted in under pressure. M Evans, the rider of WILLY’S PRIDE, was advised to show more care in similar circumstances.

Race 5: BRAITLING FAMILY GOLD BRACELET OPEN H’CAP – 1300M.
1st – JYI’S PROSPECT 2nd – CHARLIE WON’T 3rd – DANZIG WARRIOR 4th – RAHERA

LEMON LIME (M Evans) pushed its barrier gates open prior to the start and walked out before being placed back in the barriers.

PAPER KINGS (J Stephens) knuckled over at the start.

CHARLIE WON’T (M Barnham) commenced to hang in leaving the 300m until the winning post.

DANZIG WARRIOR (App E Hooper) and RAHERA (W Morris) both raced wide for the majority of the event.
