STEWARDS REPORT – SATURDAY 9th AUGUST, 2001

STEWARDS: D. MACKLYN (CHAIRMAN), G. SCOTT
WEATHER:. FINE TRACK: GOOD
RACING:
RACE 1 CLASS 3 HCP. 1200 METRES (6 STARTERS): No racing incidents to report.

RACE 2 OPEN HCP. 1200 METRES (6 STARTERS): Both TRUST CLIFF (Ms S Smith) and OUR CHARIOTEER (J. Dagan) were slow away.

RACE 3 SUPER QRIS MAIDEN HCP DIV 1. 800 METRES (7 STARTERS): Stewards advised the connections of AUBAN LASS that a warning would be placed on the filly regarding her barrier manners after proving difficult to load.

At the start AUBAN LASS (B. Dieckmann) jumped outwards, at the same time OUR MAN DUKE (J Dagan) jumped inwards resulting in DYNE (S. Smith) being momentarily tightened for room.

MICROSLOT (M. Lehmann) was inclined to hang outwards from about the 500 metres when placed under pressure.

Both AUBAN LASS (B. Dieckmann) and DYNE (S. Smith) raced wide in the straight.

OUR MAN DUKE (J. Dagan) shied at the winning post and ducked out abruptly.

RACE 4 SUPER QRIS MAIDEN HCP DIV 2. 800 METRES (7 STARTERS): NEUF D’OR (M. Lehmann) was slow away.

CRAIGLEA FLAME (W. Orbell) was inclined to shift outwards when under pressure over the final 50 metres.

RACE 5 CLASS 2 HCP. 1075 METRES (5 STARTERS):. No racing incidents to report.

BOOKMAKERS: Four (4) bookmakers fielded at the race meeting. Prior to the commencement of the days betting, Bookmaker W. Marsh was given authorisation to exhibit the odds and take bets on a set event, namely the Caulfield Cup, in accordance with LR129(1).
SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and the samples obtained were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
