SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Jockey W Morris reported to Stewards that he was ill and would not be able to ride at the meeting. Jockey W Morris was advised that he would require a medical certificate before riding again.

Race 1: QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1075 METRES
1st – BEST OF CEEDEE 2nd – ALL THAT CASH 3rd – CYCLONE GEORGE 4th – WANNSEE KNIGHT

On jumping INFRINGEMENT (D Whitmore) jumped inwards and bumped BEST OF CEEDEE (R Hall) causing BEST OF CEEDEE to blunder.

CYCLONE GEORGE (D Van Bekkum) raced wide for the majority.

Approaching the 900 metres INFRINGEMENT (D Whitmore) shifted outwards slightly causing GLENDALE PRIDE (J Robertson) which over reacted to shift abruptly forcing WANNASEE KNIGHT (J Stephens) out across the heels of SEQUEDO (App K Pedron). At a subsequent Stewards inquiry both jockey D Whitmore and jockey J Robertson were severely reprimanded under the terms of AR137(a) for shifting ground when not clear to do so.


Jockey John Stephens was severely admonished and reprimanded under the terms of AR175(q) for his conduct when returning to the saddling enclosure.


Race 2: OPEN HANDICAP 1075 METRES
1st – JYI’S PROSPECT 2nd – CALL THE ROLL 3rd – EMERALD PARK 4th – HANDY HERO

MYDAM TWIST (D Van Bekkum) and EMERALD PARK (J Robertson) were both slow to jump.

MYDAM TWIST raced wide for the majority.

Race 3: MAIDEN PLATE 1200 METRES
1st – ROCKING MELODY 2nd – COUGAR TRICK 3rd – AT ODDS 4th – RODEO RIDE

SYBIL’S WAY (D Van Bekkum) and was slow to jump.

STUNDER (N Evans) was slow into stride.

ANOTHER KING (App K Pedron) over raced in the early to middle stages.

CARBONEIGHT (M Cant) raced wide for the majority.


Race 4: CLASS B 1200 metres
1st – NOWADAYS 2nd – SNAGAPOT 3rd – CRAIGLEA WADE 4th – KWILA SKY

Trainer A Dixon presented MUTHAIGA CLUB to the saddling enclosure with the incorrect saddle cloth. Stewards acting under the terms of AR140A fined Trainer A Dixon the sum of $50.00.

Stewards acting under the terms of LR36(b) placed a warning on RAFIR for unruly behaviour in the mounting enclosure and on the way to the barriers.

RAVISSEUR (R Hall) was slow to jump.

SCARPHONE (App L Dillon) commenced to hang out at the 900 metres and then again at the 600 metres.

NOWADAYS (J Stephens) laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.


Race 5: CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400 metres
1st – URGENT SEA 2nd – ROSE WITH ATTITUDE 3rd – MASSIAH 4th – LARRABY

LEICA MAGIC (J Robertson) was slow into stride and race wide for the majority.

ROSE WITH ATTITUDE (App L Dillon) was tightened for room over the concluding stages between URGENT SEA (L Brown) and MASSIAH (D Whitmore) which laid in under pressure.
